February 11, 201214 yr Does anyone else have the front engine startup sounds missing for the first few (20-30 seconds) seconds. I really would love to have the same kinda startup sounds for the front engine that is generated by the rear engine.Would love to have the same sounds on front engine. Then I can tell you honestly this sound set is a keeper. The missing startup sounds on fron engine really take away a lot from an otherwise brilliant sounds package.Edit:I should just state that this scenario happened in both initial release and the one I just re-installed via the installer.Although your complaint is valid, I think I read somewhere (believe it was the Avsim review of this plane) that it is proper procedure to start the rear engine first. That would take care of the problem, no?
February 12, 201214 yr Excellent work with those sounds Oovee. We once had a 337D in our flying club, and this sounds very much like the real Skymaster. Gunnar v.d. February 22, 201214 yr The 337 is my favorite plane (at the moment), and I had never bought a sound set until now. Wooo, was I suprised. It really is nice stuff. It brought the immersion factor up for considerably for me. Another happy camper!! Thanks you guys for a great job.RegardsBob Officially retired
February 25, 201214 yr Hi Oovee,I've been trying to contact you since a few days now, I sent you a PM and I opened a ticket on your website.I understand there is an update and this forum gives instructions on how to get it but unfortunately it's not working for me! I reorder, confirm and it only says "order pending" and I see no serial number.Any assistance would be nice at this point, thank you, David
February 26, 201214 yr Well, after all the positive reviews I guess I'm going to be the lone dissenter. I hesitated buying despite the reasonable cost, as I've always thought that Carenado had done a very good job with the 337's sound. Not perfect, but very good. There's my upfront bias, but in the end I decided it was worth a try.So, I installed, I flew... and I uninstalled.I dunno, but it just felt like there wasn't much "there" there. While the sounds from outside seem very good - better than the default by a good bit I'd say - I spend most of my time inside the cockpit and that's were this pack just didn't work for me. All of the engine and prop sounds, from startup, to idle, to full takeoff power seemed muffled and generic like I was wearing a very (very!) good pair of noise cancelling headsets, and were overpowered by the ambient sounds at Orbx' KORS where my test flight originated. Takeoff felt kinda - meh. I could barely hear flap or gear transitions, got virtually no sound change when I varied prop pitch or deliberately put the props wildly out of sync (which makes a lovely discordant racket on the default sounds), yet felt like I was listening to a constant, repeated (and short) loop while in cruise which, despite the low level, started to grate on me.Perhaps I've got something set strangely, (though I can't imagine what and the Carenado sound on this and other planes sound generally well balanced), or maybe I just like a more pronounced set of cockpit sounds than some, but piston twins are, after all, NOISY beasts and when you do something bad, you should hear it.This one's a pass for me. As always, YMMV.Scott Edited February 26, 201214 yr by tttocs
February 26, 201214 yr And a quick addendum to my previous posting - I do feel that the add-on is worth a look (er... listen) at the price and even though I'm unlikely to use the whole package barring some substantial changes I don't regret the purchase. It was fun to play with and if nothing else, I may do some mixing and matching with some of the sound files later. There were things I liked, such as the fuel pump sound which is very nicely done, and I may try to selectively add some of these back in.FYI, the package does NOT automatically back up the existing Carenado sound files, something the installer does note if you take the time to read the fine print. Be sure and back up your sound folder before installing in case you want to go back to defaults without having to do a re-install of the whole plane.Scott
February 28, 201214 yr Hi,I also have problem with the Oovee sounds. When i start the rear engine, i can't hear it and when i start the front engine i can hear it but the sound is very very weak.. I have to turn up the volume.I've sent a support ticket yesterday evening but still no reply from them. Could somebody help me to resolve that problem. Thanks and best regards. Real Deraps
February 28, 201214 yr Author We will look to provide an update this week to fix any volume issues. For now, insure that the engine audio is set to FULL in the sound configuration panel. Thanks, Oovee Game Studios. http://www.oovee.co.uk/
February 28, 201214 yr That will alleviate the problem for now but the problem with that is that AI traffic engines then become very loud indeed and ruin the ambience I do very much like the sounds I can hear though, thanks. Cheers, Andy.

March 1, 201214 yr We will look to provide an update this week to fix any volume issues.Hi,Is there an update on the update? I posted a support ticket and received no response. Similar to what others have reported I am just not hearing the sounds that everyone is enjoying, or that were demonstrated in the promo video. The default 337 sounds are fine, all my other aircraft are fine (including some with 3rd party sound packs from other developers. Interestingly, if I play the sounds outside of FSX as a .wav file they sound great - in FSX not so much!I'd be grateful for any help. Especially after reading all the reports of great customer service I have to admit to feeling a bit unloved!Looking forward to enjoying these sounds as much as everyone else. Marc Musgrove

I have replied to your ticket. The main issue is the sound cones and I think it might be best just to remove them. Thanks,Oovee Thanks, Oovee Game Studios. http://www.oovee.co.uk/
