April 20, 201214 yr Author Hi Peter, I understand your opinon but this product has been designed for FSX only and therefore it is not guaranteed to work with any other platform unless we release another version which is fully compatible with P3D or other simulators. The product is clearly promoted and sold as an add-on to Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Thanks, Oovee Game Studios. http://www.oovee.co.uk/
April 29, 201214 yr Hi all, I was critical of the product and support (and with good reason I think), so I want to be fair and report that the update appears to have fixed my problem. I don't understand how but I am enjoying the same type of sounds I heard in the promotional video. Sorry it has taken me so long to install the update and report the results.Audio will always be subjective to some degree and some may not like how the package sounds; but for me it is working correctly and I do like how it sounds. I also have Accu Feel and it works well with the sound pacage. Thanks for fixing it Oovee! Marc Musgrove
May 3, 201214 yr Thanks Oovee for the soundpack for the 337. All in all it sounds great, especially outside. Like others I have boosted the in cabin flap sound as it was too low at default. I'd like to increase the gear up/down volume too, but increasing the parameter in the cfg seems to have no real effect for some reason, which is odd. I have also decreased the gyro sound slightly, more realistic. Also, there is definitely an issue with the engine sound. When I switch to outside view and then back inside. The engine sound and volume changes, until I adjust the throttle, and it reverts back to what it should be. I believe I read somewhere, maybe in this thread, that you were working on resolving this. Looking forward on another update. Please don't give up on this! Thanks! Looking forward on another update. Please don't give up on this! Thanks! A trick that usually saves you from having to adjust the throttle is hit the "Q" button either 2 or 4 times. (By default, 'Q' is the standard FSX mute button, so if you changed it, just use what you changed it to). Several aircraft I've seen, usually older addons, have this issue with sound, but muting it using FSX usually clears it right away. Try the Q trick, might save you having to readjust the throttle all the time. Regards,Kyle
May 31, 201214 yr Same ole &*(&*( ! I bought this product and have view change sounds issues...it just dont match... After logging a support ticket...I waited 3 weeks for a reply and this is what i got back " we are not aware of any sound issues.... hit Q repeatedly or refrain from excessive view change"!!!!!! what a load of nonsense !! The problem is with every view change... and it took them 3 weeks to reply with that??? They added that they may look at a fix in future..... JOKE right? If you are not aware of any issues...why may you offer a fix? for what exactly? Not worth the money or hassle... another edited youtube video to promote a product that does not offer what it says on the tin!!
July 29, 201213 yr Oovee Game Studios and our sound pack for the Cessna 337H Skymaster Hi I have bought and installed your Sound Package for the C337. It is a great sound, but I have an issue with mine that I submitted a request for but I have had no reply to ask any questions to help sort out my issue. What I have sometimes when I start the front engine, instead of getting that nice starting sound, I also get another engine sound with it aswell. It installed where it was supposed to go, Skymaster/sound folder, Are you supposed to install it over the top of the original sound folder or have the new sound folder all on its own. I think the only way it does not happen is if I take the default Cessna 172, turn everything to cold and Dark, then go back into the Skymaster. Any ideas would be much appreciated. I also have view sound issues that can only be resolved by disabling/re-enabling sound. We really shouldn't have to do this, atleast not so frequently. This is annoying to the point that I may revert back to default. It's unfortionate because the prop sounds, particularly outside, are spectacular. Ah well, I guess it is what it is... November 6, 201213 yr I purchased the V 1.2 sound pack for the C377H from Carenado. I tried to hit update icon in sound file to see if there was updates available. I could not get a website for updates. I reinstalled the file and the sounds sound nothing like the u-tube video. I also found that when in the cockpit and move the throttle for the front engine I get sound but when I move the throttle for the rear engine there is no sound. I have recycle "Q" with no difference. The instruments show engine running and the increase in power but no sound to go with. At this point I am disappointed with the product. Do you have any fixes for this problem? I purchased my product from Order Number: 419792 Order Date: Friday 06 July, 2012. How can I get an update at no cost

November 8, 201213 yr AVSIM subscribed topic email notifications are not sent to anyone who is subscribed to a thread once the last post in that thread is more than 14 days old (stupid idea I know but Tom CEO of AVSIM says he is saving resources by doing this), so unless Oovee happened to visit the forum and stumble across this old topic he would be none the wiser of your question anyway. Cheers, Andy.
November 10, 201213 yr Thank Fly_bob. I have gone to the website and put in a service ticket for the problems I am having. As some of the other guys in here I have not recieved any contact from oove. I just thought somebody may have an idea of were else to go.
February 6, 201313 yr good luck with that.... On a side note, I have built a new rig with an ASUS z77 mb. And after reinstallation fsx, carenado, and the soundpack, I am no longer experiencing all the issues from before. In fact it is perfect, so I blame the issue atleast in my case, to a crappy mb and integrated sound card. February 18, 201313 yr I'd like to know if there is a difference to the sound you have and a turbocharged sound? I ask this cos I'm a big fan of these sounds probably was one of the first to use them. I would like to continue to use these sounds as they are the best
February 18, 201313 yr Only if the recording was set up for the turbo. The only difference I would expect it something to do with an extended or slightly longer timing of the sound associated with the higher MP of the Turbo. I would think in FSX a turbo sound would sound the same on the non-turbo and vice-versa. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
February 18, 201313 yr The turbo'ed version of the Skymaster uses a variant of the Continental TSIO-360 in place of the Continental IO-360. I've flown hundreds of hours behind one (in a Turbo Arrow IV) and the difference in sound between it and a non-turboed version is fairly subtle. There really isn't any turbocharger noise as such, just a slightly different exhaust note due to the exhaust system differences. As the sounds from the 337 are dominated by prop noise anyway, I doubt the differences are worth worrying about. Probably the most noticeable difference is actually the way the power comes on as the turbocharger spins up to effective RPM, and that isn't going to be modeled anyway. Scott
