February 7, 201214 yr Lease them out again, only it's gonna be difficult to shift the 737-600's they have, they were never very popular in the first place.... Rónán O Cadhain.

February 8, 201214 yr Commercial Member Ronan-The leasing copmanies have crews that handle reposession work.If the airline is in operation and returning the airplane to the lessor- it is dictated in their contract where they are required to deliver the airplane upon returning it...In the case of a shutdown- the lessors often reclaim their property before the shutdown in order to prevent their property from winding up in any type of probate style dispute over unclaimed bills... Sad for everyone involved. Had a ticket booked on MA for later on so looks like its going to waste!!Brent-Call your credit card company and dispute the charge. They have more resources available to get their money back than you do... Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com

February 8, 201214 yr We have all 15 737NG's from Malev parked up on the ramp down in Shannon, and one more impounded at Dublin. We're also going to have a lot of the Spanair aircraft being flown up to Shannon over next day or two. Shannon currently looks like a bit of a graveyard for aircraft at the minute.... :( It's a sad state of affairs...http://www.flickr.co...in/photostream/ How long are they going to be parked at Shannon?? Im guessing/hoping a few weeks, Only because Im thinking about going up to Shannon at the weekend and taking a few shots of the chaos on the ramps. Are they over by the Shannon Aerospace hanger? Or by the N19?
February 8, 201214 yr Can't you claim it back on the travel insurance or some other insurance? Just a suggestion as it'd be a shame to lose out.Hi,They were paid through paypal - by my friend so he paid for them. Paypal do not dispute on airline tickets so you must go through the airline...which is bankrupt. Anyway, it was not really that much.Regards Brent Lewis

And no, all the leased aircraft were in operation right up until the last minute, and the 737 at DUB has been impounded by Serviceair vehicles, who are supposedly owed quite as bit by Malev.... There's a pic of the impounded one, AFAIK she's still at DUB, but I havn't been on duty in a couple of day's so I'm not sure if she still is...http://www.flickr.com/photos/mcdee6174/6812620865/in/photostreamCaptain Rónán O Cadhain.
