February 27, 201214 yr since the release of majestic dash8-300 we haven't seen a good Q400. This aircraft is one of the best if not the best in its class and it is flown by many companies worldwide(i work for one that has a fleet of these bad boys). Does anyone know or has heard of any software company that's making this excellent aircraft for FSX? i would love to have a turbo prop in my collection and having worked with this one makes me want to have it even more. Any thoughts or comments on this?Sent from my SGH-I727R using Tapatalk i7 4790K 4.8GHz, 16GB DDR3 1866MHz, EVGA RTX 2080 XC. 1TB M.2 SSD, 4TB HDD, 4K display. February 27, 201214 yr Author PMDG should be working on the Q400 too...Ur basing this on? .............@audiohavoc. As far as i know they have been on this for quite some time. So when will it be released? I've seen the images on their development updates site but that's almost a year old....Sent from my SGH-I727R using Tapatalk Edited February 27, 201214 yr by Dash8Q4 i7 4790K 4.8GHz, 16GB DDR3 1866MHz, EVGA RTX 2080 XC. 1TB M.2 SSD, 4TB HDD, 4K display. February 27, 201214 yr Ur basing this on?Sent from my SGH-I727R using Tapatalk......I guess he's basing it on the fact that they've made many references and announcements of the fact that they're working on a Q400 ......... Do your research. Google would have told you about the Majestic and PMDG Q400 developments. February 27, 201214 yr Author I heard that from a friend. But i don't know how long it takes to develop an aircraft addon so i don't know. I just thought they had been announcing and talking about it for a while and no release yet. I just thought they had been announcing and talking about it for a while and no release yet.Sent from my SGH-I727R using TapatalkI would guess that the majority of high-quality, realistic add-on aircraft development houses have very small staff numbers who don't do it for a living and have other jobs. This is the reason that these products can take several years to develop. Look at the PMDG MD-11, which I think took around 4 years, and the NGX which took a similar amount of time. I would guess that the Majestic Q400 might be released late this year based on the level of development their previews demonstrate. Quality takes time, money, patience, and perseverance. No way around that. Edited February 28, 201214 yr by audiohavoc Shane Gavin
February 28, 201214 yr Ya, I've been waiting for this Q for a long long time, I really wish we had some "new" news about it, the Q400 is operated by so many carriers and I'd love to see Eruope, Oz and USA/CAN with her. March 9, 201214 yr Commercial Member New video of Majestic Q400 showing a cross-wind landing. Citation from the project's support forum : There is a big difference in how you land it, compare to the FSX planes. As the FSX plane would skid with the same angle along the runway, it had to use for the crosswind correction, you don't have to align the nose along the centerline prior to the nose wheel touchdown. However with our model its no longer the case, the plane has to be aligned prior to nose wheel touchdown. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPdnxDNz7Is
March 9, 201214 yr HelloMany thanks for posting that Video, It looks like you are getting close to release. Is this one going to have the same Fsuipc offsets as the 300 for the AP, or will you consider adding a keymapping facility even if it is just entries in the .ini file ?
March 9, 201214 yr Thanks for the video. It's nice to see some progress on that interesting project. Not so much on the plane, Is it just me or does the author have a major texture loading problem in his FSX? I've watched it in HD and fullscreen. :(
