FT/PIC737 Evo 2D Panel Update FS2004

Featured Replies

Hi all,I'm a bit amazed no one posted this yet, so here it goes:Feelthere released a few days ago the 737 EVO 2D panel update for their FS2004 PIC 737 package.http://www.feelthere.com/505_737-evo-2d-panel-upgrade-for-fs-2004.htmlIt will set you back $20/20 EuriI have installed it and the new 2D panel graphics are just great, a huge improvement over the original ones.It (graphically) transforms your 737 Classic into a new aircraft. Also you get a new analogue engine gauge version, including a wide version. As far as I know, the VC hasn't been updated (haven't actually checked, I'm only flying 2D panel)If it is worth $20 is up to you, for me it definately was.Egbert

I guess that's because there aren't many simmers around still flying 2D.Even some longtime 2D diehards like Rafal Big%20Grin.gif have switched to VC flying...Anyway, thanks for the link.

I also still use 2d on will be buying this update Jeffg

Thanks, Egbert, for letting us know about this update.I've just installed the update. Brilliant - a most pleasing improvement. The 3D panel is also there - for those who only use 3D panels (both digital and analog engine instruments).Trevor

The 3D panel is also there
Do you mean there is a NEW virtual cockpit in the FS9 update?

I echo Rafal's question. Having consigned the FeelThere 737 PIC to my storage hangar long ago, I'm reluctant to spend more money on it unless the VC has been completely reworked. I always felt the product had potential, but it just didn't seem "finished" to me. I would love a really good 737 classic to fly but it has to be "really good" and the original product didn't measure up to my definition of that term....

Shame one has to go to FSX to get a Win 7-compatible version, but that's progress, I guess. Glad they released the promised 2D panel for FS9 anyway.

Hah, there you are. I'm on Win7, Ian is on Win7, many of us are.Good to know and thanks a lot for bringing it up here, John.

Why would you need FSX for a Win7 compatible version? I'm running PIC 737 in FS2004 on a Win7/x64 machine with no problems. Does the update break it?

All the Wilco/FT 737 versions for sale are marked as either "Vista 32 bit" or "XP 32 bit" compatible only. Even FT's own site directs you to the FSX version for Win 7 compatibility. If it actually works in Win 7 64 despite FT's indications to the contrary, I might have to reconsider purchasing it. Do you have the updated version of RXP's weather radar?

You may want to hold back your horses on this one (temporarily)...I'm having an LNAV issue and so has another user. Posted a message in the FT forum.I'm not 100% sure if it is related to EVO update, but my guess it is because I never had this issue before.

This is even more confusing.I've had the FS2004 B737 PIC for some time now, but with a new computer rebuild I now have a Win 7 system. An email off to Wilco enquiring about the compatability of the FS2004 737 PIC with a Win 7 system they replied back ... “ …. There is no such version under W7. ….”The aircraft would load OK into the sim but crash shortly after starting a flight.I'm still using the aircraft but with another 2D panel.Really like to find away to get the total package working again.Pete.
