ATC Software...

Featured Replies

I am looking for an ATC software that will allow me to talk, using my voice, to the in game ATC. I feel as it will help me with getting some radio lengo down before hoping on VATSIM and goofing up the airways. Was curious if anything like this exists... Thanks... :(

and Multi Crew Experience.http://www.multicrewxp.com/I believe they still offer a free demo...but def make sure you have a decent mic for any of these programs and a solid hardware setup as well to make sure all runs fluidly.

Vox ATC and MCE will both let you talk to FSX ATC, but you can also try the standalone ATC sim London Control (it is not an FSX add-on, but is really cool). In FSX, stuff like Radar Contact is also good for learning more realistic procedures.Al

+1 for MCE. They do indeed offer a full-function free demo, and their support (via email) is second to none.

There is also IT"S YOUR PLANE, which allows you to talk to ATC, as well as have your co-pilot handle systems and checklists.http://www.itsyourplane.com/RB

VoxATC is it's own program like Radar Contact. It doesn't use FSX ATC.It's also the only one I know of that does STARS, SIDS, VFR & IFR, etc. all in one package. The others all have certain things missing. I tried the demo and found it a little clunky though. They'd do well to revamp the interface. It looks like something out of Windows 3.1.

You should also look at PFE. since vers 2.14 it has very few problems. And, works very well with a well cvololiberistaontructed flightplan.vololiberista

+1 for MCE, you get voice control of just about every aircraft you own, plus voice interaction with the in game ATC. If you are busy you can even tell your virtual First Office to handle all comms with ATC and he does!!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the good suggestions. I'll take a look at VoxATC and MCE, and see which one I like better. Thanks again!Just wanted to say thanks for all the good suggestions. I'll take a look at VoxATC and MCE, and see which one I like better. Thanks again!

VoxATC and MCE are not tools to compare. MCE adds a virtual copilot to your office, lets You talk to default (or RC v4) ATC and control some of the FSX menus via voice, while VoxATC is all about ATC.Both can be downloaded for free - check them both

I've been using VoxATC (and the excellent UK addon which adds near perfect UK procedural accuracy). I don't have it installed all the time, because it's not an easy going addon and can be clunky. But it is absolutely superb when you're 'in the mood'. In my experience, it's VFR capabilities are superior to it's IFR capabilities, (the opposite to most ATC addons), so make it interesting. As for the voices, you just have to go for the option AT&T voices as they put it in a different league compared to the MS 'robotic' voices.

Have a look at this video...the version of MCE being used is quite old, it has been updated 4 or 5 times since this video was made, but the person who made the video did a very good job....I bought MCE after watching this! Keep in mind, except for the typing of the FMC< everything else is voice controlled...

Ye don't forget about PFE to have more advanced ATC. I tried radar contact but the interface is so bad, same as voxatc. PFE's interface sucks too but its the least bad
