FSDT GSX 1.3 update is out!

Featured Replies

Some very very cool features, which IMO push the further envelope in FSX, and is a must if you are a serious tubeliner. What I especially like is the new boarding sounds! Time to go test-run this update!Added support for Unit Load Device (ULD) LoadersULD are the standard containers used for baggage/mail on wide-body airplanes. GSX now simulate their loading procedure, using the correct type of container depending on the airplane type. The selection of the loader type (conveyor belt or container loader) and the kind of ULD used is made either using the GSX internal airplane database, with a fall back depending on the airplane doors height if the airplane is unknown, and can be user customized too, by airplane and by parking.Added support for Front and Back Cargo doorsBoth cargo doors are now operational, and it's even possible to user-customize which loader is in use for each door. This customization is extended to the parking customization too, in case space constraints on some parking wouldn't allow the use of both doors.User airplane configuration allowed, using the GSX.CFG fileThis version introduces the usage of a specific GSX.CFG file, that contains all parameters needed by GSX to support an airplane not present in its internal database. Users can customize all doors positions, their commands needed to open doors or ignore them, and other new paramaters like the kind (if any) of ULD container used by that airplane. Right now this is a text file, but it will eventually evolve into an interactive graphic editor, using the same file format.Separate audio chatter files for boarding/deboarding, with random variations. The boarding/deboarding sounds are not fixed loops anymore, but plays different randomly selected and randomly timed "hello" (or "goodbye", when deboarding) chatter sounds, over the background sound.32 new Liveries addedWe added the following new liveries: Air Canada, WestJet, Spirit Airlines, Allegiant, Norwegian, Turkish Airlines, Meridiana, Lan Chile, Avianca, EgyptAir, SAA, Ethiopian, ANA, JAL, Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, Garuda, Singapore Airlines, Air India, Thai, Virgin Australia, Regional Express, Skywest, Pacific Blue, JetStar, Transaero, Aeroflot, Caribbean Airlines, Bahamas Air, Cubana, Taca, Air Jamaica.Other small fixesMany smaller bug fixes, like problems with Pushback at some airports, problems with Follow Me, etc. are also included. The GSX installer is now able to recognize and patch non-default ground vehicles, in order to disable the default pushback truck even if your ground vehicles set is not default. The "Captain, are you ready for pushback ?" message has been changed into "Captain, we are ready for pushback", so it will be more clear you are not supposed to answer that question.

I'm updating this evening! I'm and AES user, but I've really enjoyed GSX's use in virtually all airports.

Sounds great. Going now to download update

Yes FSDT have done a great job with GSX and now with this update (1.3) its even better. Just tried it out using the new ULD loaders, very realistic.

Thanks for the head's-up. GSX has really added a lot of atmosphere for me.

Apparently you only get this with a perfect parkingwhich I've yet to accomplish.

Same. I've got to read somewhere how to get a perfect park...For all of the marshallers critques he better dance when we get a perfect park! :(

Does the music come with the dance? :(
Of course, since the animation is timed with it...note that is not enough to get a "Very good parking" rating to see the marshaller dancing: there's only a 20% chance he will dance. A dancing character in FSX should be just an Easter Egg you rarely see.

The way I park, I will never see him dance

"The way I park, I will never see him dance"No kidding! The way I park he will be running from the plane - not dancing towards it, ha!

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

Funny ... I had the dancing marshaller just last night. I had landed the J4100 at EGHI and parked. Just after I set the parking brake, I started shutting down my engines and I heard music. At first, I was confused; I have another desktop next to my FSX desktop, and at first I thought the music was somehow coming from it. I then looked outside at the marshaller, and there he was, dancing! Cool!I figured that my parking must have been at least good, as I didn't get the usual bad parking message.Great Easter Egg!

Does this mean that it should be possible to tie the doors in the NGX to some keys (I am not sure if this is possible or how to do it), I could have GSX opening closed the doors for me automatically?I read somewhere that some guy had tied the door commands to buttons on his joystick, so I guess it should be possible...
