LAX-ORD in the NG

Featured Replies

Guys, I have FSDT's ORD & LAX and I love flying between those two airports, however its a long flight. From T/O to Landing it works out to be roughly 3:40-4:15 depending on route, winds, IAS dev ect. Here is a copy of my regular route.KLAX LOOP6.DAG J9 LAS J146 GLD J80 MCI J26 IRK.BDF5 KORDDoes anybody know of an Airport that lies along my route that I could fly into so that flight could be more borken up into two Legs instead of one? I'd like the Airport to be something that an NG could get into and something close to reality and I'd like to have Payware scenery, as I hate flying into AFCAD/Default airports and I never do, if you have an ideas or links please let me know!Cheers

How about KDEN. I believe that is about halfway between ORD & LAX

Yeah, Denver is perfect for that. But beware that this airport is on over 5000ft MSL and the scenerie can be very hard in the frames with lots of traffic.

Best regards, Steffen

I usually do LAX to LAS or vice versa. It's short and there's plenty to do on the flight.

KLAX-KLAS is a fantastic short route. It's one of my favorites. KDEN is a good stopping point between LAX and ORD. If you want to break it up into a bunch of legs, perhaps you could fly KLAX-KLAS-KDEN-KSTL-KORD.

Not really on the way to Chicago, but FSDT's KDFW is really good.
Yep, I like that route as well especially since FSDT makes a great DFW. Actually for a night of fun I like to do LAS to LAX, then LAX to DFW, then DFW to ORD, ORD to JFK, and finish off with JFK to FLL. All covered by FSDT of course.

That is a lot of flying for one night.
I agree lol

Haha, a lot of coffee and a bit of 2x and 4x time compression during cruise.

Vegas and Kansas city are both right on your route.
