Damnit that background looks great. This is obviously some hardcore edit... who did it?
Ha! You admitted it. I am slowly converting the whole community! Mwahaha! :Big Grin:Seriously though, I don't know who edited it or made it in the first place. I got it on a free wallpaper site. I have been looking for it ever since, but I can't find it. *tear runs down face*

Lots of pictures... this is a combo post... building my new PC and a few finished pics! As you can see initially I installed my cooler incorrectly! Thanks to corey for pointing that out lol! Also I am RMAing the blu ray burner and purchased a basic dvd rw from BB. The reason is while installing Windows the blu ray was not recognized so I was unable to complete installation. Plus I already have a ps3 so there is no need for the blu ray in my PC... I also did benchmarks in the FSXMark 11 thread if anyone cares.parts.jpgmobo1.jpgwip1.jpgpsu1.jpgworkstation.jpgopenbox.jpgtubes.jpgcomple1.jpgmaincase1.jpgcaseglass.jpg

No kidding - it looks excellent! Just waiting to see what you overclock it to. Has the bios been friendly?

Sorta... but it didn't like something I did with either the ram voltage or the timings. It's actually a question I have. The memory sticks says 9 10 9 27 on them, but auto and SPD wants them to be 9 9 9 24. Also I set 1.5v per spec and the mobo runs them at like 1.536 I think. Is that ok? I'll take some pics of the screens later I have some questions about the memory multiplier. I think the mobo is downgrading the ram to 1333 when it should be 1866. Also it reset my bios to original and had some error. I try to set it back but not sure if I need to clear CMOS... I'll make a new post...

I believe all the P67 motherboards default any memory faster than 1333 down to 1333. You have to manually go in and change the timings and speed to your memory's rated specs. I will be out most of the day today, but give me a call or skype me if you need some help (PM me and I'll send you my info). Be sure you have the latest BIOS installed. Once you have done that, hold ALT-F12 on post to flash the backup BIOS with the new BIOS. As long as both the operating and backup BIOS are the same, you solve pretty much any issues with the Gigabyte boards. You can find the latest beta BIOS here. I know they are only beta, but I would highly recommend updating to one of the F3 versions. I've seen reports that F3B is good. It has also been confirmed that LLC is really good on the F3B bios. Supposedly the F3B beta bios boots quicker and solves the boot looping issues. Finally, if you encounter a BSOD or your computer freezes while overclocking, DO NOT hit the reset button. Hold the power button until the computer restarts instead and you won't loose your OC settings.

Ryan, I love that Corsair case. I ordered it this evening... Thanks a lot! :Rolling Eyes: I also failed to catch the H60's launch! Your pics piqued my interest and it hit me as to what it was. I'm thinking my Triebwerk fan modification negates the need for an upgrade, though. (Highly recommend you think about the same mod , too. A fan controller and some Yate Loons/Triebwerk make my rig considerably quieter than before I had Corsair fans. In particular the H50/60/70's loud 120mm.Nice work!Ryan "F": Nice, clean looking system. I use the same blue/black color combination.

P.S. The 650D is now on Amazon for $172. Not only that, but it's also eligible for Amazon Prime, so free 2-day shipping for you Prime members! Zach, the h60 fan is new by the way and it's supposed to be much quieter.

Yeah it was a wonderful case to work with. Wow, hard drive installation = easy. Cable management = easy (and I suck at cable organization lol). Both side panels come off with just two levers. I do have the odd fan noise if I run the fan controller on low or medium. But I just crank it to max and its actually quieter to have the big guy running at max.As far as the cooler goes... yeah I just saw H60 advertised and I'm like, "hey, that the heck!" I ran OCCT for 1 hr today with stock settings and temps never went above 50C. Maybe that's not awesome, I really don't know, but it's cooler than my older Arctic Freezer that my AMD6000 had. Installation was pretty easy - I actually had my wife hold the backplate on the bottom of the mobo while I attached the main unit to the front, so I could have both hands free to tighten the bolts. Actually you spoke of the noisy fan with the H60 - mine seems very quiet - this system is much quieter than my old system.

Hey Ryan nice setup! How do you like the case? I am stuck choosing the Obsidian 650 vs. the Corsair Graphite vs. keeping my old CoolerMaster Stacker EVO. What I like about the Corsair cases are the ease of access to the backplate for the CPU. Also, how well does the H60 work for you?ThanksKevin
