April 7, 201214 yr Wow...I am stunned at the level of scolding. I never thought I was doing anything wrong. Sorry about that. So I know what I should know so as to avoid a ban in the future, can you tell me what EULA is and if this warning is exclusive to something going on with P3D? Basically, don't say ANYTHING about the Prepar3d licence restrictions. There are probably a few sticky posts around Avsim about this. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! So I know what I should know so as to avoid a ban in the future, can you tell me what EULA is and if this warning is exclusive to something going on with P3D? Apparently, people's jobs are in jeopardy if third-parties with no actual relevance to the matters discuss this. Somehow. That's what the last official post on this issue said. :unknw:
April 7, 201214 yr I think Antlab said it best when he referred to a "complex simulation." That describes very well the difference between Flight and some others. Thanks for the citation Hook Concerning the topic of this thread, unfortunately I can not express my opinions, because in a very similar context recently the moderators have kindly explained to me that the related subjects are quite dangerous, and some kind of expressions could create legal problems. I hope this post can pass the acceptability test. A.
April 7, 201214 yr recently the moderators have kindly explained to me that the related subjects are quite dangerous, and some kind of expressions could create legal problems. It would have been just as effective and I would have gladly obliged if I too was explained the rule rather than rudely threatened and scolded like a 5 year old.
April 7, 201214 yr Threatened? I wasn't scolding anyone. Where in my post did I say your name? April 7, 201214 yr Threatened? I wasn't scolding anyone. Where in my post did I say your name? I think it may be because your warning kind of came out of left field, since no one made any reference to any EULA, as far as I can tell.
April 7, 201214 yr Ohh, I see. My bad guys. Check now... I probably shouldn't have hidden the post that brought me here in the first place. Hopefully now everyone knows why I said what I said. April 7, 201214 yr To be honest, I would'nt say that Flight is competing with P3D. Why do I say this? Because they are both targeted at different audiences. Just my opinion. Frank What the ###### did you just ######ing say about me, you little ######? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the ###### out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my ######ing words. You think you can get away with saying that ###### to me over the Internet? Think again, ######. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re ######ing dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable &@($* off the face of the continent, you little ######. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your ######ing tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will ###### fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re ######ing dead, kiddo.
April 7, 201214 yr I would'nt say that Flight is competing with P3D. Sure it is. Prepar3d was one of the programs I was looking at to replace FSX, along with Flight. Guess which one I'm flying right now. :D I kind of miss getting my hands dirty with development work, but I'm having too much fun to miss it that much. It's nice being able to fly and not having to worry about working on other stuff. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
April 7, 201214 yr The two products represent a fork of the codebase, which is potentially regrettable, or potentially promising. Too early to tell. In the end, perhaps it wasn't possible to continue to serve all needs with the same product architecture. It is, indeed, nice to see the alternative to Flight opening up a little. It goes without saying the type of user who would derive more benefit from the alternative. April 7, 201214 yr no trial available? Anybody tried it? I'm a bit tired of FSX crash, windows/background issue, performance. Buying this software I'll solve all the "age" problems of fsx? How about the airports quality? Buy without any trial is an hazard :| 38 € is not so much for a complete expanded fsx : ) Actually I have only Fsx + Rex 2.0 Antonello M.
April 7, 201214 yr The original post in this discussion is very similar to this one in the sense that they were posted in the wrong forum. Regards, Tom
April 7, 201214 yr So far, every-time I look at P3D, I see a high placebo affect. One person says faster, another says not really. One says better graphics, another says my FSX can do the same....... In the end, it seems people are responding more to the potential of reopening the code-base than they are to any actual current advantages. Which just points back to the desperation of the current FSX community, trapped with this steadily aging program, and no ready alternatives. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. I asked here and on Aerosoft forum for somebody to show me a vid. using Prepar3D maxed out with Orbx scenery (KHQM) to compare with this one....I'm still waiting.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=o8_z2rSIq20
