We are now well into spring..... Alaska?

I expect lots of snow and crosswind landings in DLC with oversized tyres :Big Grin:

Is there still speculation about a biz jet coming with Alaska, or did I imagine that?

I think you imagined it, but I sure hope there's a biz jet!

No, you didn't imagine it..We saw something over on the now defunct microsoftflight blogs about a Dassault 2000 and I mentioned it here, more to be mischievous than with any authority..He%20He.gif

Small iron would be nice, but. thanks to FLIGHT, I've gone back to GA in FSX (and P3d) now the initial warm glow of NGX has left me, and I'm happy with props again (as I was for years before NGX came out) so any Alaska-fied DLC is good for me now..

tbh, it's more the thought of Alaska that is pushing my buttons than any DLC for it..The Maule will do fine on short(ish) hops..Some skis would be nice (on the Maule or otherwise)

You imagined Alaska.......

I would have to imagine there has to be some kind of jet in the works so we can fly from Hawaii to Alaska...

If so it would be a very nice surprise, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

The key words are "have to imagine," since it ain't gonna happen! :LMAO:

No, it's not needed. Hawai'i was settled by Polynesians who used some type of canoe to get there. Figure from Tahiti to The Big Island is 2,200nm and a lot of rowing. The trip from Hawai'i to Alaska is about 1,900nm. Fill the Icon up with fuel and start heading north. When it runs dry just land, pop open the roof, grab the DLC-available paddle and keep making your way north.

Keep an eye out for the migrating whales though! The Icon won't have a chance if one pops to the surface and lets out a spout or two.

Or just use the Hangar screen to top off your fuel a couple of times along the way...

Who knew the Icon was in-flight refueling capable?

The only problem with using hangar refueling is that it resets your position to the edge of the " map". No idea what it will do when we have Alaska.
