I just checked http://www.carenado....p?accion=update and failed to find any updates/patches for the C90B...

You have to log on to your Carenado account first, go to "My account" and check the "updates and patches" tab.

For some reason it is not available on the public patches list!

Cheers!

Wow, I've NEVER ever seen so much hate and anger and unrealistic expectations (e.g. AC or DC powered gauges...r u serious???) towards a developer!!!

I've also never seen a company which produces so incredible realistic looking planes like Carenado (for a price you can't even take your girlfriend out for dinner a single time)

I'm almost glad that I'm done with any future FDE development as browsing through the C90 forum makes me almost throw up.

Thats to be expected when so many flight simmers are such short sighted foolish people, who overrun the forums with what you have witnessed here in the wake of the C90 release...

When most of the good developers are gone, they will have no one to blame but themselves.

The 'good' developers will be the ones that survive by providing a quality product.

90% of the people on this C90 release post/forum have been simply raising issue with bugs that should have never made it out of Beta. Of course, there are those that are being completely unrealistic in terms of expectation also.

Carenado have raised expectations and price levels of recent products.

The quick release of SP1 should be congratulated, but for the sake of the few days since release it would have been better to delay and get it right the first time and avoid all this bad press.

Well, it seems to be that many here don;t really have any idea what goes into the beta testing of a product such as this one.

First the size of the beta team is most likely small perhaps as few as 10 people. I've been involved in several beta tests for one add on company thats no longer with us and one that still is. Out of the 10 or so projects I help beta, the largest groups was about 25 people. And we were all given specific areas to focus our testing on.

While all the other beta's we were all expected to simply "look for bugs"...

Even with large beta teams, there was ALWAYS bugs that made it past us. For the simple reason that 10 to 25 people, with different computer set ups, cannot possibly catch every single bug, glitch and oddity in a complex project.

When you compare the beta team to the initial numbers of customers, the wide varying differences in their gaming systems and experiences with add on's... it really shouldn't surprise any one that bugs that get past them will be caught by all those customers.

The reactions by customers to such bugs should be one of eagerness to alert the developers so they can issue corrective measures... not run to the nearest public forum and start attacking the developers.

Yeah, thanks. Just realised that. Odd!

Many of these types of issues have been raised time and time again on this very forum with almost every Carenado release and let's be honest here...90% of the issues reported have zero to do with individual pc configs. They are inherent to the addon itself.

I have been involved in several beta also over the years. No one is expecting perfection, but most people know a rush job when they see one. Bravo for the quick release of the SP though.

I sure hope that you are not serious about leaving FDE development. You've been a major contributor and those of us with some idea of what kind of work you do would be so disappointed. If you look at the people who are doing the real harsh complaining, you can recognize them as often being rude and untempered in other forums. I suggest that you not give them the credit of taking seriously. Some don't realize that flight simming is on the wane as it is. MS is really done with it and XP also struggles to widen its market. Third-party developers are few, and It would be great if we supported each other and pointed out what we would like to see done without all of the unnecessary attitude. Carenado has its strength in its visual presentation AND the fact that you work on the FDEs. The plane is very flyable, as are the Jetprop and the Milviz C310. I love flying approaches in weather with your FDEs. Please stay with development and recognize how much some of us appreciate the work that you and team Carenado are doing.

Perhaps, but if you have been involved in beta testing large projects... then you should fully understand just how it is that bugs get by the beta team and into the actual public release.

Couldn't agree more, it has been your great FDE work Bernt that has got me back into buying planes, particular Carenado's because before your work I never felt they flew very realistically. So hoping you stick around and continue your great work. I think I have every one of you mods and planes.... :Loser:

Cheers - Martin
