Anyone noticed how they seem to be adding warbirds present at Paul Allen's Flying Heritage Collection? Makes sense. The "Flight" crew probably has carte blanche to go take as many pictures as they want, anytime they want, for free (even though Allen does not currently work for Microsoft, or does he?). The guys who fly for FHC might even be evaluating the flight models of these planes. Who knows?

Great song..

Breakfast in America is arguably the best-engineered album in rock history.

Breakfast in America

I checked and "Dreamer" isn't on "Breakfast in America". Thought it was.

LOL Dreamer is on Crime of the century. Great album. Breakfast is great too but less artistic as Crime imho. Everytime I listen to Supertramp I am surprised how good it sounds recording-wise: it could have been recorded now. The drums and bass etc, sound 'modern' unlike a lot of other music from the seventies which often sounds very dated.

BTW Where did this subject suddenly come from...?

I had a brain fart, posted in the wrong forum...

Now for my true warbird excitement, I launch either IL2 1946, or IL2 Cliffs of Dover, awesome sims!

Interesting, I have this one installed on my PC as well - but to be honest, I seem to be struggling just to get the graphics to look decent on it. I have heard it is absolutely awesome for single player offline mode, which is what I like. I understand the AI has been done extremely well.

Maybe when this update is released I will give it another go.\

Thanks for the info,

I prefer Aces High. Some great fights there, and smooth as silk multiplayer. I've also gotten into "Rise of Flight" lately, which does WW1 VERY well.

Trying to maintain my enthusiasm for Flight.when i see another WW2 aircraft being released for it my heart just drops.I know some people like these sort of aircraft and i haven't got a problem with that.it's just not for me.

only ever bought one warbird and that was the Realair spit.now that was a seriously brilliant aircraft.

so disappointed at Microsoft for going this way.my questiion is why??

i mean it's not like it's a combat simulator(well not yet) so why all these fighters.

half finished ones at that.

if its seriously another war bird, im going to delete this game off my PC...there are hundreds of games where i can fly some war birds...do i want them in the game? yeah, but not right now, we already have a couple..how about some diversity.

I tell you again, I'm thinking it's their proximity to the Paul Allen's air museum. Easy access to those planes, and pilots who fly them. It's not that far from Redmond to Paine Field. Right up 405.

My hunch is they already had these in the pipeline probably even before the initial release.

These are " dog bones" to just throw out there, while we wait for the bigger stuff, ie the full meal.

If a P40 is what it is, and I don't care of it, I just won't purchase it. I instead will await to see what comes with the next " major" DLC release, ie Alaska.

If you are right, then we have 22 more to go. Please be wrong

Fully agree with this.

I'm for a cap on the number of warplanes, too. If we're getting one more, fine. But please stop there. Or stop after doing an ME-262.

If they're going by what's available in his museum, there's a couple of non-single-engine-tail-dragger-WWII-fighters in the collection. At least give us some variety. How about a B-25 with a cockpit? I'd buy that. Heck, I'd buy one (and only one) of the fighter-trifecta if it had a cockpit.

The V-1 would be tempting, though. And it's even appropriate for not having a cockpit. Just%20Kidding.gif
