May 21, 201214 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Will yes please, if you could send me a copy. Yep, GSX +MCE is what it should be Many thanks Clive Joy
May 21, 201214 yr Author Commercial Member Will, I just call 'ground' and GSX then automatically starts the PB. Just ask 'Roberto' for catering, fuel and PAX, he gets on the radio and they arrive(GSX). Great stuff. Makes me smile when I hear him DO we need to start a wish list for the MCE guys? Clive Joy
May 21, 201214 yr There pretty much always has been a wishlist for MCE, i.e. you'll generally find they are so helpful that if you ask them a fairly reasonable request, there's a good chance it will happen. Frankly, it is one of the best-supported products there is in terms of dedication from a developer. Shame that I've no idea where my licence key is LOL Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
May 21, 201214 yr Author Commercial Member AI totally agree, just thought that maybe a single place to consolidate everyone's wishes Perhaps a good question to ask Support Clive Joy
May 21, 201214 yr Author Commercial Member I have done the voice training and have a good USB headset it still struggles to understand my voice commands and is not even close any ideas? Two things I found that works, well it does for me. 1. Fit a mike cover 2. Adjust the 'My speech Pace' slide on the Command tab of the MCE interface. I found that in general I speak a bit fast, so I moved the slider slightly to the left I now get about 97% hit rate Clive Joy
May 21, 201214 yr Perhaps a good question to ask Support Yeah I would do that, but unfortunately, I never actually bought MCE, I was given a review copy in return for writing the Avsim review for it. Thus I don't actually have an emailed serial number for it, so I can't go through the normal registration process of firing off a seril to get it out of demo mode, and of course when I changed my computer, it stopped working LOL Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
May 21, 201214 yr More probably time to buy it, although that's a bit of a bummer when I did already have it LOL Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

And it wasn't intended to expire after that. Your name is already in the database. Just send the "registration.txt" file which will have the machine ID and we will generate a new key for you. May 21, 201214 yr Now that's service! Would be interested to know your opinion Al, considering the program has evolved so much since you last reviewed it. Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict

May 21, 201214 yr Clive and Tom, many thanks for giving the users and supporters of this wonderful software a home in Avsim! Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
May 21, 201214 yr Would be interested to know your opinion Al, considering the program has evolved so much since you last reviewed it. Well, as I originally noted back when I reviewed MCE, support is very good and the developers were open to suggestions too, and it seems that was not misplaced faith because it has manifested itself in a product which has evolved quite a bit from its earliest incarnation. FS++ Simulations obviously listened to feedback, tweaking this and that and making sure that even when custom gauges and controls are part of many fancy aeroplanes for FS, they will try to make things compatible. A criticism which was leveled at MCE at that time of that review, was that voices of the various crew members sounded somewhat robotic (which to be fair I could live with), and although I actually bought a Cepstral SAPI 5 voice set to improve that aspect, frankly, I could have saved my money, because this is another area which has been addressed too and improved quite a lot over what was in fact already perfectly usable so long as you did not want an absolutely indetectable facsimile of a human. These days you'd be hard pressed to complain about its voice simulation straight out of the box. Another change which is noticable, is that it is even more forgiving than it already was with regard to getting your ATC patter perfect (notably with callsigns), which is great because sometimes you can get sloppy when the cockpit workload is high, and as in real life, so long as ATC get the gist of what you meant without any ambiguity, they'll invariably put up with that. So one minute I'll be Consolidated November One Zero One Charlie Sierra, and the next I'll be One Zero One Charlie Sierra and ATC doesn't complain about it. The interface is more polished now too of course, and the advent of processors which can run FSX a lot better these days means that it is a more viable option with the latter sim, whereas at the time, it was a definite advantage to run it on FS9, where the system overhead was less demanding. This in fact means that those who have only just discovered it are doing so at a good time. I do still wish that my co-pilot would not have a panic attack when I taxi my PBY into the water, but even then he recovers after he realises that we can still move when I've raised the gear! One thing which has not changed a bit though, is the customer service: There are doubtless a few developers out there who could learn a thing or two from the dedication and courtesy FS++ Simulations have demonstrated with their support and expandiing capabilities for the product, and I can only hope that the addition of a support forum for them on Avsim will help them reap more rewards, because they certainly deserve to do so. I know some people may think that because a reviewer gets what looks like a freebie, they will be inclined to be favourable to a product, but anyone who thinks that should have a stab at doing an in-depth review, and then they will realise that it is a supper that you have to sing for, and with all the features MCE has in it, that one was a lot of singing!
