June 16, 201213 yr Author but the modeling/art guys are lagging behind (SLACKERS!) and we want them to catch up before we start showing her off... Do I need to have words with these guys :LMAO: - Luke Pabari
June 16, 201213 yr Alex- High powered piston pushers are HUGE turn-on for me... I was out a few weekends ago doing gusty crosswind landings in the SNJ (200/05G35 while using RW26...) and found myself running out of rudder authority and adverse yaw *at the same time* on a couple of landings... (In comes the power GENTLY... don't panic and slap the tail down or she'll bolt to the right... Don't cobb the power or she'll bolt left... Okay... phew... we're flyin'... let her come out of ground effect at her own pace...) Every time I start thinking I have the SNJ mastered- she finds a gentle way to remind me that I'm dealing with a thoroughbred.... Wow you are really lucky and when you mentioned the SNJ it reminds me of that Black Sheep Squadron where Pappy takes Sgt. Micklin in the SNJ up for a spin to prove a maintenance point (loose rudder cables) but they got jumped by zeroes. "Boyington, if you get us out of this alive I'm gonna kill you!" Its hilarious how the good Sgt goes back to chomping on his cigar after uttering that line during the dogfight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuh5qxKEgKs&feature=relmfu Anyways good to see another prop fan here, I'm a huge fan of old warbirds with foreign fighters in particular such as the BF-109, A6M Zero, Spitfire and of course the American classics such as the P-51D or F-4U Corsair, PWK usually has a a warbird airshow every year and although I've never been looks like this year might be the year to make it, maybe the SNJ might be there as well lol. One thing I find interesting is how the BF-109's Daimler Benz inverted V-12 has fuel injected engines making it capable of sustaining negative G's far better than her carburetor equipped counterparts. June 17, 201213 yr The A320/330/340 are men. The A380 is just bleh! The 7X7 are drop-dead gorgeous ladies. The A380 is both. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
June 17, 201213 yr Commercial Member Alex- I'm going to be flying the SNJ cross-country (literally) later in the summer. If I take the northern route, I'll probably be stopping somewhere up in that area to see George Morris (our senior beta tester). If I do- I'll throw a note in the forum here and maybe we'll find some time to do a bit of show and tell... If i take the southern route- it wouldn't work out obviously... Just kinda depends on how the weather patterns are shaping up. This bird is day VFR only... (I wouldn't want to fly her IFR anyway... eek...) Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com

June 17, 201213 yr Yep, enjoy the NGX or some other bird and time will pass much faster vs thinking about the 777 every waking moment lol. I'm still doing AA 737 legs and will continue even after the 777 but also doing VFR in the P-40 is great for passing the time. Just 4 days and ill be done with exams, done with highschool, back to the NGX and and buyin FSDT GSX Flying Tigers Group
June 17, 201213 yr Author The A320 are men Don't get me wrong, I'm a total Boeing guy but after flying the BAW A319 yesterday and got a nice tour from the Capt, I will say it's got a nice little but spacious Flight Deck. I hear Airbuses are nice places to be in long haul too (space wise, of course). Not saying Boeing's aren't but Yokes take up some room in some. - Luke Pabari

After sitting in both the 737 and A320 cockpit I can say the A320 has a bigger comfort factor and with the yoke gone its much easier to rest your legs in a comfortable position and that might be good for a transcon from LAX to JFK for example. The A320 is a much newer plane compared to the 737 (the NG series is merely an update to the 1960's era airliner) so that may explain the more up to date designs and ergonomics. Definitely - The 737 being so cluttered is primarily why I won't fly it on the Sim. Of course I wouldn't turn it down in real world, I wouldn't turn down any position (apart from Iran Air 707 :LMAO:). - Luke Pabari

June 18, 201213 yr The code team is running away from the pixel pushers.... Hey Rob, I'm a pretty quick pixel pusher, and have been doing it for a while.... If you guys need a hand let me know. Here is my latest release...http://forum.avsim.n...s-emb-released/ I work pro bono (always been a freeware painter), but if you wanted to throw me a discount on the 777 for a few paint jobs, I wouldn't turn it down. :LMAO: Regards, Steve Dra Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
June 18, 201213 yr Author Yes- that will give you an idea how quickly this airplane is coming together. The code team is running away from the pixel pushers.... THAT has never happened in PMDG history... Rob or someone, can you explain what you mean they're running away from "Pixel Pushers"? - Luke Pabari
June 19, 201213 yr Rob or someone, can you explain what you mean they're running away from "Pixel Pushers"? He means the coding is going faster than the people who do the graphics and visuals ~William Genovese~
