On a lighter note, I wonder how many people know what Poguemahone means on MindYourBeak's icon?

The Irish phrase póg mo thóin, means "kiss my . . ."

Well, I'm going to give the new patch a t try, and after that if it does not work, I'm on the forums asking for a refund. So, one more test and if it still glitches, I'm seeking a refund, I'm not paying that kind of money for something which simply does not work.

That's an 'old' patch Al (1024). I have been using it for some time now and it does not work for me. But, maybe you can get it to work. Good luck!

Best regards,

Jim

Did you get it working Chock?

Thanks for the HU on the new patch Mark!

Best regards,

The 1026 update did not work for me on a flight from KORD to KSTL in the default B737. I had a heading from ATC of 199 to RBS and this is the course the co-pilot put me on. At RBS the PFD indicated a turn toward St Louis and the aircraft made the turn; however, ATC did not give permission to make the turn and was silent. Whenever I checked in, the co-pilot stated I was still heading on course 199 even though I had turned toward St Louis on a heading of 227 (I think that was the heading) according to the flight plan displayed on the PFD. VOR RBS remained on the PFD. I'm going to try the flight again but this time stay on the 199 course and see if ATC will give me a course toward St Louis after I pass RBS but I doubt that will work as ATC normally provides a new course approximately 8 miles from the VOR. But I will try...

Best regards,

Jim

Nope. The .4 patch did the same errors.

Guys,

Been following this thread, and I'm not sure if I should get it. So before/if I purchase it, how does PRO-ATC/X work with MCE if at all. Also has anyone tried a flight with the latest 1027 patch.

Thanks

Clive

Not tried the latest patch, I will do so today at some point, however, with this thing needing more patches applied to it than a B-17 after a mission over Schweinfurt, I'd have to say wait and see rather than advising you to spend you money right now; it's not cheap and I've yet to see it working flawlessly.

I asked for a refund (thru Paypal) yesterday and got my refund today. If and when ProAtc is working

properly, I might repurchase.

To create an ATC program will be hard, one that matches FSX Ai will be very hard. FSX ATC/Ai uses probability to assign departures and approaches so unless you have the exact algorithm and the exact same set of data, there is a good possibility of your heuristics not guessing the way FSX ATC sees things.

Therefor usually these programs take their cues from FSX ATC still working in the background. That way the Ai aircraft can continue as they do, otherwise all the Ai would have to be controlled as well, by the external program sending cues to FSX slowing things down, or the Ai aircraft must be turned off altogether.

With FSX you can stop, load another plan, and continue, if you use the saved .FLT and manipulate it, then load that with its new plan, but ATC only comes back properly if a big bunch of things are set perfectly. This sort of thing can all be done “on the fly” within simConnect, but this overly burdens the conversation with items to keep updated, and is harder to get right since things like pausing or looking at the map can corrupt the chain of events. simConnect has a strict start/stop signalling mechanism that is hard to get right for all circumstances.

Addons can’t be financed easily and hundreds of man hours paid for testing, there simply would not be any addons – at all. I’m glad some of you have been giving support and encouragement, I hope it continues. All addons are good addons…

It does not seem that way when you are £50 down on the deal, and its basic functionality does not work. :Just Kidding:

The idea of paying out the money is to be further entertained by FS X, not to see second-hand how difficult it is to produce a working add-on, with patch being added after patch (all to no effect). :LMAO:

I feel sorry for the developer, who is no doubt trying his best. I feel sorry too for those disappointed customers who may be less able to bear their loss than I am mine. The thing about this one is that even if it worked as intended, there's still many glaring shortcomings. I could though overlook those if it delivered the advertised functionality for me.

I hope it all works out in the end, as a concept it's not actually a completely bad idea.
