June 25, 201213 yr Landing is my favorite, seems like the most work and hands on time with the plane unless you cheat and use Autoland :P -Ryan Vince Quote from 911 magazine: "- ...RSR delivers unparallelled performance and stunning looks"
June 25, 201213 yr Landing, never did a go around in a long time. Alex Jevdic --- KORD A<380-----Love at first flight
June 25, 201213 yr I'll admit that I'm the cheese standing alone for the go around vote haha. I love the sound of the engine spooling up and roaring at full power as you frantically struggle to get everything under control and alert ATC at the same time. (They never seem to hear me the first time and the response is always "FDX016, are you going around?! Nah, I just figured I would do a roller coaster move for the pax/animals in the back...) ah, and lots of stories are made from go-arounds. Good times... June 25, 201213 yr Takeoff :) This awesome feeling when the engines spool up and you can feel the thrust in your back :) Obviously, you can´t simulate this in FSX, but i were lucky to join A320 flight decks for the full flight two times :) Also the view out of the cockpit side-windows is great during takeoff :) regards, Alexander Marx
June 25, 201213 yr The landing is the part where you have to do the most. It is the most interesting and in some situations the most challenging part of the flight. With kind regards, Bogdan Misko.
June 26, 201213 yr I love landing...but there's something special about pushing that throttle forward and freeing yourself from terra firma! Dave Swanson
June 26, 201213 yr Moderator In the sim, approach and landing and in real life flying approach and landing. When doing real flight training I could spend a day just doing touch and go's. Don't know what it is about landing I like so much but it's probably just because of the challenge of putting it down right where you want. In a way its kind of the same for me when golfing. Although I enjoy the tee shot which would be like the takeoff and get more thrill of the approach shot, which would be like the landing, if its about 100 yards out and I have my lob wedge in hand and want to stick it close to the flag. June 26, 201213 yr Take off is optional...landing is required. Much more pressure for a by-the-book landing and much more reward for doing it correctly, in my opinion. Although, hearing those engines spool up, the momentary pause until stable, then advanced to take-off thrust is pretty nice too. Adam Hill
June 26, 201213 yr There's something special about advancing a thrust lever and getting that feeling in the small of your back as you accelerate down the runway before finally leaving the ground behind you and taking to the sky. No more critical phase in the flight than the takeoff.... Rónán O Cadhain. Rónán O Cadhain.
