July 3, 201213 yr Do we just run the installer (mine comes in a Flight One wrapper) as if we were re-installing the product without having to uninstall the original version? I did not uninstall the original version, and while I now have the E55 model which is new, I want to make sure that the B55 model that I previously had is also updated- it looks exactly the same and still has the RxP GNS530-WAAS installed that I did manually several weeks ago- I would have expected that the panel file might have been over-written. I also note that the B55 folder in ..\Simobjects\Aircraft has what appears to be the same manuals as I had before. The E55 folder has no manuals in it. I have no problem uninstalling my original version, I just need to know whether I should do so. Thanks for the SP1 guys, and welcome to AVSIM! Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
July 3, 201213 yr Commercial Member Though the plane may look exactly the same, it's not acting that way.... You do not need to do anything else. July 3, 201213 yr Thanks, CoolP, and I have and like the C310 as well...but I'm preferring the B55 because of the better VC graphics and RealityXP integration, IMHO. Both are very good. Wayne KlocknerUnited Virtual
July 3, 201213 yr Commercial Member as an FYI, the 310R is a very different plane from the B-55... It needs a much firmer touch... and it flies very differently.... July 4, 201213 yr What differences should we be looking for in the E55 flight dynamics? By the way I love the flight model now.
July 4, 201213 yr What differences should we be looking for in the E55 flight dynamics? Yes, please. Some additional information on the E55 would be appreciated. Liking some of the fixes so far. After some initial confusion, I think I've got the RealityXP stuff sorted with all features working, and it's nice not to have to adjust the VSI before every fight. And I'm no longer repeating the number 33.86 in my sleep. :-) Non North American pilots may be less pleased, but it's nice that the tooltip now displays both ways. Well done. Scott
July 4, 201213 yr Commercial Member for the FDE, i suggest that you fly both of them... you will "feel" the difference.... Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. Please provide proof of purchase if you want support. Also, include the username you wish to have.
July 4, 201213 yr Moderator The major difference is in the engines. The B55 is modeling the original engines (Teledyne Continental Motors IO-470 260 hp). The E55 is using the larger engines that were made available during the later part of the production cycle (Teledyne Continental Motors IO-550-C 285 hp). Fr.
