July 11, 201213 yr Tweaks by ******* Altuve: http://forums1.avsim...p0-conclusions/ EDIT: Just found this as well. Might be of interest... ******* ‘Bojote’ Altuve’s FSX.cfg tweaks: http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html
July 11, 201213 yr This reminds me of being told about the ******* bolt when learning to fly weightshift microlights. When I enquired as to why it was called the ******* bolt (It's the big bolt that holds the wing onto the trike), I was advised that if it failed, the pilot's probable last words would be "******* Christ" as he plummeted to earth in a wingless trike. Getting back to the subject, All of Bojote's tweaks are worth a try, but not every system responds well. You have to mix and match and experiment with them a bit. Howevr, the Usepools=0 made a huge impact on my system, especially after I upgraded my videocard (the old GTX9800 struggles with its 512 megs of DRAM). IAN Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
July 11, 201213 yr Now I'm flying some 20 different aircraft and I'm using ******* tweaks. Yikes, what sort of hobby is this? :o
July 11, 201213 yr The only tweaks worth using from ******* IMHO. RejectThreshold=131072 (or UsePools=0 if your PC can handle it should you prefer) HIGHMEMFIX=1 Other than those two, I would not bother. Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD

July 11, 201213 yr Word Not Allowed's guide worked better for me. Tried it out of interest and unexpectedly I got smoother action and more FPS! Thanks, Dirk.

July 11, 201213 yr Or you could try my tweaking guide. Link is in the sig if you decide to. What he said. That guide along with a few other tweaks to my hardware had me running almost 30fps consistently, this on a laptop (which everyone says is a bad idea but it works for me so.... ) Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)
July 12, 201213 yr Author Hey guys, i have tried both *******' and Word Not Allowed's tweak guides however it dosnt seem to make a difference to my game (i left some of the content out of Word Not Allowed's guide because i didnt know where to find them in the CFG). My Laptop is a "ACER ASPIRE 5732z", if anyone knows of any tweaks which could help me out on this platform i would be greatful, thanks.

July 12, 201213 yr Yeah. Most of the other tweaks that are put in are outdated (like the smallpartrejectradius). Don't bother with his tweaking tool. Just use his UsePools=0 and HighMemFix-1 tweaks a long with lowering your FFF to .10 and internally locking frames at 30. These tweaks assume you've got a decently clocked quad core and a good video card (at least a gig of VRAM). I also use the affinitymask=14 tweak for my quad core. Everything else is unnecessary on modern systems and just fluff (messing with texturemaxload, etc.) His Vsync tweak is also useful if you aren't using nividia inspector to do it.
