its a flight simulator .. not a driving simulator! Why does this excite you so much?

Its the equivalent of the driving simulator guy saying, hey, they added air turbulence at 5,000 ft... cool!

yea...much rather have traffic lights than a good quality plane to fly...good work there Austin, way to go...might be another day or 2 before i trash my xplane cd for the 2nd time since in the last 10 years...and basically for the same reasons...one of which includes no good planes to be found (pay or free, theyre all laughable IMO).

Xplane should be marketed as a "game development engine", NOT a retail product. License it out to development companies who want to produce a flight simulator game...but marketing this thing as a finished product has been an on going blunder for years now.

You're being bad. Not going to invite you to my birthday party this year !!!!

P.S.: X-Plane10 is the best flight simulation platform I know of, these days ... sorry... even if the default aircraft do have their problems / limitations... Ok, you're not going to invite me to your birthday party either... Well.... :-/

Aha... the old "They put in X, which means Y is lacking!" argument. Haven't seen that one in awhile.

And have you noticed, it's always from the same people.

Gee, thanks. I guess I just wasted the last 4 years, then.

This "Excites" me so much because it's "New"and "Unexpected"I find it highly immersive Flying GA,Low-n-Slow in a small Cessna and discovering and admiring the many Beautiful details like this that make X-Plane10 an enjoyable experience for me.

How many hours of real time have you got intype and what kind? I don't mean to be smart-alecky or mean, I have been flying for several years and don't find them to be that bad. I see all kinds of big iron pilots flying this thing, working with this sim, not to mention engineers, aircraft companies, and the like and they seem to get along OK with it.

I've used MSFS since its inception in the mid 1980's, Pro-Pilot and a multitude of other sims that I have forgotten, Don't forget FLY, still use FSX and Falcon 4, and again I don't find this one to be all that bad.

You must have seen the comments at the other forum. According to some of them, desktop flight simulation will never be more than just entertainment.

They say it's nothing like real flight. Therefor, it looks like you no longer have to worry raising the bar for realism..............and those four years, truely have been wasted. :smile2:

Of course, I didn't agree, with those notions. I believe that most 3rd party developers for either sim, are actively raising the bar. I'm told, that I'm still a just a crusader for flight dynamics realism.,,,,,,,,, Yes, I am.

addition ---I'm a pilot who flies for the scenery (The mountain west has a lot of it). Needles & shades of grey mass, never excite me. Just watched the video............and I like it.

You didn't see the original posts as they were deleted minutes after they were posted.

So in your own best interests, I would suggest you don't involve yourself any further in something you know very little about.

There is nothing in my reply here...........that goes against you. I actually had to back you up, over there..........because it was insinuated that flight sims are too disconnected from real flight, to be of any value, other than pure entertainment. I may or may not have seen those postings. I carry a I-Phone & pad to the job with me. I'll often see things, even if I'm not signed in. As to the gang-up on TV (a posters name), no, I didn't like it, and said so.
