We have made a lot of changes and added the Synoptic and Micro Weather Stations to help in with these transitions. We will await feedback from our beta testers and make the necessary adjustments. But in our alpha testing things have progressed very well. Of course with what you can do within the limits of FSX/P3D.

I am sorry to keep bringing this up, but I am VERY confused.

 

I have REX + OD HD (as I see several others have) Build 2.5.2010.1027. I see from the REX home page that there is a free upgrade "REX Essential is a FREE update to all current REX/FSX customers", but when I try to download this "FREE' update there is a request to "BUY NOW" from FlightAware.

 

What is my problem, please ??

Dave, the FlightAware option is what is says it is, an option. You don't need it to use Essential. If you experience otherwise, please open a topic in our support forums. We'll try to answer your questions.

I have only used REX E once when I first installed. Haven't changed my textures since but will have a play with different sets.

I have REX2 HD for FSX (boxed version), which coincidentally I'm reinstalling tomorrow.

I remember installing an update months ago, but don’t remember what it was. I think a significant update of sorts but it’s kind of foggy. (Old age ya know)

After reinstalling the boxed REX2 HD, will the update to REX Essential + Overdrive be free, or do I need to purchase the original REX Essentials to get the new updates?

What is the difference between REX2 and REX Overdrive?

I am setting up my new computer and just loaded REX2 without the Overdrive, so I could try Essential (which is loading now).
