November 4, 201213 yr I have to say, personally, I have had zero problems with Ezdok, even though it took me about 16 years to try and get my head around the initial installation! So for me, I am happy, and so I'll stick with the old adage of 'don't try and fix wot ain't broken' HowardMSI Mag B650 Tomahawk MB, Ryzen7-7800X3D CPU@5ghz, Arctic AIO II 360 cooler, Nvidia RTX4090 GPU, 32gb DDR5@6000Mhz, SSD/2Tb+SSD/500Gb+OS, Corsair 1000W PSU, LG Ultragear 48"4K, MFG Crosswinds, TQ6 Throttle, Fulcrum One YokeMy FlightSim YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@skyhigh776
November 5, 201213 yr At one point during a flight the camera would shift left/right rapidly as if I moved my head quickly then snapped back to the correct head orientation, creating a very dizzying "flicker" effect that made flying pretty much impossible Is your Automatic Head Movement (different from DHM) enabled? This looks like to me some phantom axis or other control spikes going causing the AHM to follow through with the look left/right options. Patrick Houghton
November 5, 201213 yr Try disabling the Automatic Head Movement (it's within the DHM config options for the camera you are setting). The sudden left/right will go away. Alternatively, you may adjust the settings for it to suit your liking. Patrick Houghton
November 6, 201213 yr Houghton, Thanks for the "heads up" (hehehe). I couldn't find the AHM settings on my own. Between AHM, AccuFeel, and TrackIR, I thought I had the tremors. AccuFeel gives me more than just head movement so not going to give that up. My MSFS 2020 repaints: Flightsim.to - Profile of HStreet Working on MSFS 2024 versions.
November 6, 201213 yr Despite all my confidence that I had DHM/TIR tamed, unfortunately it went bang! Suddenly the violent jittering you get when a light is shone on the camera returned and I don't have the heart to go through the process again. I've disabled LC and now just enjoy the weather and nice smooth TrackIR. It is reminiscent of my struggles with EZDOK. The World is divided into two groups. November 6, 201213 yr Commercial Member Hi Ron Our TIR is very suseptable to light polution from the windows but I assume that is not your problem? Hi Henry I haven't tried AccuFeel but I believe it runs along side OpusFSX OK as long as you disable the aircraft movement options. Regards Cheryl

Regards Cheryl No Cheryl, I've had TIR a looong time and am well aware of that problem. Definitely not that. But I'm really not worried about it. I bought Opus as a weather engine, the viewy bit was an add-on I didn't expect so I'm a happy bunny. The World is divided into two groups. Same here - I've put a lot of time into trying to get consistent smoothness with TIR through Opus, and it's just not working, so I've disabled LC. Opus is an outstanding weather engine though, and the customer support is top notch. "Even Ozzy's wagging his tail again. Liam who?"
November 6, 201213 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the feedback. I would like to find out why some systems handle TIR better than others but it is a case of getting the right combination of TIR driver, TIR settings and OpusFSX settings.

I would like to find out why some systems handle TIR better than others but it is a case of getting the right combination of TIR driver, TIR settings and OpusFSX settings. Accufeel gets the head movment without affecting TrackIR. They let TrackIR be run through FSX rather than running it through AccuFeel. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! November 6, 201213 yr What would be nice if someone created a youtube video (someone who's got it working) that can show us step by step how to configured live camera for DHM and AHM in single monitor mode w/TrackIR, single monitor mode w/o TrackIR and multiple monitors (3 - in mycase using surround video) w/o TrackIR. Here's what I would like to see for the multiple monitors (surround video): 1. Start from scratch light aircraft, say 172 2. From the left seat 3. AHM movement whiling taxing...however as the head moves left/right the zoom has to zoom out just a tad so you can still see your instruments. 4. While banking left/right again zoom has to zoom out so one can still see instruments. 5. Pitch up.down would need different zoom effects as well and a reposition of the cameras. I tried starting from the pre-built one 737 Caption and attached it to a light sport. Left and right movement and cool, but the go really far left/right and no zoom. Any help would be great. -Ray
November 7, 201213 yr I do like the possibilities of OpusFSX's camera's but the latest beta version of OpusFSX all gave me stuttering transitions and very jerky random movements that made it all completely unusable (I also use TrackIR). I could of course have kept the latest official build and not use any beta's but I like the beta's for the new weather options and since I bought OpusFSX mainly for the (awesome) weather I decided to only use it for that and I reinstalled EZCA for my views for now. I am sure that in time, when OpusFSX Live cam is 'out of beta', I will return to it because it's nice to have it all in one program and I like the precision with which you can setup views. The effects also look more real then EZCA (which simply seems to wobble a bit at random). But right now I rather simply fly and enjoy it all then beta test and try various settings all the freakin' time. ^_^ I recommend OpusFSX to everyone regardless of these camera problems because the weather engine is great, specially the speed of the program and how it shows you 'detailed weather as far as the eye can see' that stays there so you can actually reach it! I really absolutely LOVE that feature!!!
November 7, 201213 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the suggestion Hook but unfortunately that method does not allow us to switch camera views. Nothing is straight forward with FSX! Ray, have you followed the examples in the latest Live Camera guide to give you an idea of the procedures to follow? TrackIR can be enabled or disabled for each camera view. You can also just disable TIR whilst editing the view if required. For multiple monitors you have the choice of a single view stretched over three monitors (depending on your graphics card), or three seperate views with two views being windowed views although you can't have DHM in windowed views, it is a FSX limitation.
