Finally I am back home and can check the new artwork that came with the latest X-Plane 64bit beta. I'm not always happy with X-Planes autogen but it does look good at times.

 

Everything but the plane is X-Plane default scenery.

Yes, but be careful on the streets: X-Plane car drivers are very dangerous. They'll never care about their own security or you.

Not only street lights but working traffic lights too - which can be seen in this video (done by someone else):

 

Definitely a step in the right direction. I am looking forward to the releases in 2013, which should include 10.30 and 10.40. I would love to see better trees, even more autogen variety, landmark buildings and bridges, and who knows, maybe airport buildings.

Is my understanding correct that most x-plane cities aren't this sofisticated -- ie, are most of the other cities more plain and with less detail? I had thought only a few cities in x-plane looked like this. If they all look like this, then x-plane looks like the way to go.
