Best FSX Addons 2012

Featured Replies

My vote goes for OPUS, for innovating weather when we thought all that could be done had been done.

2nd goes to REX for continually expanding their HD textures with Essentials, and without it, OPUS wouldn't be so good :)

I'm going to also add in the Angle of Attack 737-NGX series -- I know there has been a lot of criticism, but it seems like its finally getting on the roll. The videos are professionally made.

Not really an add-on, but a must have viewing -- Air Austral 737 Blu-ray, 3+ hours of pure 737-800 coverage in HD. http://asn.aerosoft.com/?page_id=10542

I'm also going to add SweetFX to the list, because now I have gotten rid of ENBSeries for good with no more crashes!

Wait, you can use SweetFX in FSX ?! And I guess it works in DX10 preview (since it works in DX11 games) :D

Holy christ, I'm gonna take a look at this and if it works I'll get rid of DX9 once and for all !

Oh and my vote goes to Opus as well.

I use SweetFX in directx 9 mode, but I'm believe it also works in DX10.

i thought this was late 2011?

Anyway:

Best freeware for me would be the BT-67

And best payware would be Tacpac

Accu-Feel by A2A.

I second that vote for the Basler BT-67 as the best freeware add-on aircraft of 2012.
