Will the AIR effects in this still render, with TrackIR active Scott?

Raul,

Yes, we don't mess with the cameras for turbulence, it's actually moving the aircraft around. So, there is no compatibility issue with TrackIR.

Anyone using this with ngx I have no break squeals and vibration nor do I have dynamic tire screeching.

Richard,

We have found some systems with the toe brakes not calibrated (brakes always partially on), can cause the wheels in FSX to stay locked even when on the ground. This means with no moving wheels you won't hear any brake squeals or tire screeches. You can sometimes see a red BRAKES label on the bottom when in the air, but not always.

To verify that Accu-Feel is working, just taxi off the pavement into the grass. You should definitely see the airframe getting bucked around when taxiing over these rough surfaces.

Make sure those effects are activated in the Accu-Feel menu for that aircraft. The sliders should be anywhere but zero.

Thanks

I can't get turbulence effects in the RV or any other planes for that matter using Opus FSX and Accufeel V2. Only very subtle effects even with the turbulence sliders at max, but nothing like the promo video from A2A(had REXE before Opus and even REXE's turbulence effects worked better than this).

Got really dissapointed, Im using Opus FSX anyone experienced the same?

Yep same here. Using Opus for weather injection only. Using Ezdok and Accu-feel 2. Nothing feels any different from Accu-feel V1 turbulence wise, just the same Ezdok movements as usual. Flew the Carenado C210 with Accusim 2 defaults from KLAS to Lone Pine, then over the Sierra Nevada at FL150 on into Tahoe. Could this be an Opus issue? Again I use Opus ONLY for weather, not cameras or DHM/turbulence.

Hi Scott:

You mention "We have found some systems with the toe brakes not calibrated (brakes always partially on)" not sure what you mean I am not using physical rudder controls or are you referring to the software in ngx ? I did play with my null zone a bit I do here a bit of a squeal when the plane is almost stopped but on touchdown nothing could you give me an idea of what to do to get opus and af2 to play together

thanks a lot

One thing to keep in mind, the plane must be experiencing turbulence. Just as a test, set FSX turbulence to HEAVY or SEVERE, and move the GLOBAL TURBULENCE SLIDER all the way right. You can also turn up the GUSTS, as these can be quite heavy. It can take a min or so, but you should start to see the exact same effect as in our video. You should hear it too, so you can also turn the Accu-Feel volume up as a test as well.

We did lean conservatively on this feature, so if you want more, don't hesitate to turn the global slider up. We do also have room to add more response to those sliders for a future update.

As long as FSX turbulence is active, or a 3rd party program is replacing it with real turbulence, then Accu-Feel will detect turbulence.

Scott.

Will it work with the Aerosoft X Extended? Thanks!

That error code happens if you move the Clear-Air Turbulence slider to the extreme right (100). Just have it between 0-99 to work (we will remedy this in an update).

Thanks, nice to know.

Think I got the turbulence working, seems like it's just Opus that doesn't have much of it. Atleast not expirienced anything yet with Live weather.

But I got turbulence with setting turbulence in FSX to Moderate or Heavy, so I guess it works then...

The Real Air Turbine Duke and the Bronco X didn't pick it up though.....Have to experiment some more tomorrow maybe It's just something wrong with me :P

Excellent upgrade to this wonderful program.

1000% better with a Force Feedback joystick like the Microsoft FF2.

Wow! Now you can really feel those touchdowns. They mean something.

Stan

This actually changes how force feedback works? I've always left mine unplugged... the default forces are horrid imho. I've tried that FSForce - which was alright but still didn't feel realistic.

I don't believe it's a "this software doesn't have it or not", it's a matter of the weather reporting agency or pireps is reporting turbulence.. if it's not reported, it's not going to magically show up.

"Does Accu-feel work with EZdok EZCA or do I have to disable one or the other?"

I keep seeing this question come up so I decided to make a little youtube video that shows A.) what Accu-feel adds from default FSX and B.) how EZCA can work together with Accu-feel. I turned FSX's sound off so you can hear precisely what Accu-feel is adding. Remember that as Damien mentioned above, Accu-feel only adds turbulence where it is defined in your current weather, whether it is default FSX weather or injected weather from a third party program like REX, Opus or ActiveSky. For this video, I manually set a high turbulence layer in the World -> Weather -> User-defined Weather dialogue from the main FSX menu bar.

The link for the video is here:

Here is a second comparison video showing an approach and landing, first with EZCA but no Accu-feel, second with EZCA and Accu-feel.

I know that, but I find it weird that when having the Opus DHM turbulence effect on I get turbulence quite often and always when flying through clouds, but have yet to expirience any Accufeel turbulence with Opus....
