January 23, 201313 yr ...Maybe...... But yes those were the exact quotes My Dad had a pond near their farm in Independence Misourri. His Dad always used to say he was going over to the pond to ponder. That is why it caught my eye. Bob Officially retired

January 23, 201313 yr Well you better check back in with your thoughts. No IF"S , ANDS OR BUTTS. Bob I'll let you know what I think about it after I get a few hours in it. I love about anything Carenado makes. Robert Yunque
January 23, 201313 yr Hmmm, beautiful graphics inside and out, but the frames really drop in this bird. The RealAir Legacy and the Flight1 C182T perform way better on my system.

January 23, 201313 yr Author Hmmm, beautiful graphics inside and out, but the frames really drop in this bird. The RealAir Legacy and the Flight1 C182T perform way better on my system. I tried running it on my old system (i7-820QM @1.7GHz (2.8GHz Turbo)) in the same scenario (Orbx PNW, Orbx KHQM, Rex weather with heay clouds, rain, and fog) and it pretty much stalled in the 8-15FPS range. It really does not seem to be FPS friendly on low power machines at all. Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)
January 23, 201313 yr My specs are: i5 3570 @ 4.4 GHz, 16 GB RAM, GTX 670 2 GB, SSD only. I started at LSZH from Aerosoft and flew over Switzerland Professional X with weather by Opus.
January 23, 201313 yr Looking at the screenshots, I must state that Carenado never fails to amaze me. Yes, I would miss some G1000 detail, but that plane is a beauty inside and outside.

Hey thanks for that. I have an i7 oc'd to 4.7 with a gtx 570. Wonder if there would be much difference? Bob Officially retired
January 23, 201313 yr His Dad always used to say he was going over to the pond to ponder. Was the pond where he'd ponder over yonder? I'm certainly not one of the certified Carenado bashers, but I've been passing on their recent releases and will this one as well. I'm not surprised to hear that the 1000 implementation is essentially the same as the 182's, but I am nevertheless disappointed. No, I don't expect a full and complete implementation, but it would take a bit more functionality to get me to bite on a plane that's so much about its systems. Once again, it does look mighty pretty, though. Scott

Your system should handle it really well. Can you define "but the frames really drop in this bird."? January 23, 201313 yr My frames are locked at 30 through Nvidia inspector. That's where they stay most of the time in the RealAir Legacy or similar birds. In the Carenado they begin to jump around and can go as deep as 12-15... After a few patterns I have to say that the flight dynamics seem to be very believable. On landing, with power idle and a good amount of back pressure on the stick, it more or less lands itself. The reflection on the propellor disc looks beautiful, as does the rest. Overall I would rate it fairly good, sure a lot of fun to fly. But one should have a good system since these graphics and the glass demand a lot...
