April 7, 201313 yr Commercial Member Ok, this is not cool. Even during daytime Experience X affects FPS. 70fps without, enabled 50fps. I will possibly enable Exp. X only when I plan to fly during night time. Generally this is huge oversight by the developer. I saw that bunch of BGL files are installed after enabling lights, so apparently something is wrong with them. April 7, 201313 yr "Doesn't the developer have his own forum" He does not would be nice - I am not having any problems with this new update actually seems better on my side. Rich Sennett
April 7, 201313 yr Commercial Member How do you uninstall completely? Use backup? First disable all lights then restore backup. Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
April 7, 201313 yr His instructions are extremely confusing. When do I click the button "I am a GEX user"? Before or after the GEX hotfix? I also don't see a hotfix for GEX North America, which I have. Does it not exist? Does this mean I don't need to hotfix GEX NA? Why do I need the FSX.CFG lines if I'm not using the Autogen button? His documentation is severely lacking in information. AJ Pongress

April 7, 201313 yr I've just installed it and have set the lights to extremely dense, always do my testing at EGLL as it instantly shows any issues. Very pleased, as I used to run it on dense.
April 8, 201313 yr Commercial Member Hello everyone, this update may not have pleased all users, our support received an email asking about the performance of the product. Below is the description. """""""""""" Hello editedXXXX. Good! As we had already mentioned, the posts do not bring many benefits compared to FPS, however we have already ExperienceX sure that the product works better for some customers and not others. We are investigating what the cause of this inequality of performance. It's a complicated question .... Some customers with great hardware not get good FPS and other with medium hardware able to work with ExperienceX smoothly. We already have indications that one of the problems in this ATC simulator. Especially in areas containing more than 2 airports.Let's work up to solve the problem for everyone.thank youbracketbeetleprint ----- Original Message ----- From: EditedXXXXXX To: experiencex Sent: Sunday, April 07, 2013 7:36 PM Subject: same FPS drop even during daytime Hello, I updated Experience X to v1.3, and tested it last night. The gain with poles disabled is from 40 to 43fps, which is not that I expected, but I guess the poles are not FPS eaters after all. Anyway on EDDM the FPS was around 70 during daytime, but when I activated Exp. X, the FPS drops to around 50! And the lights are not visible during day ofcourse. How FPS can drop even on daytime with Exp. X activated? Thanks in advance! """"""""""""""""""""" inform everyone that the work continues, many news shall come.thank youGibababeetleprint

April 8, 201313 yr I have not used 1.3, but took a huge hit with 1.2 despite trying to tweak my settings (I have a high-end system). I uninstalled the program, however I just did a restore and did not uninstall the lights (not sure what the proper procedure is as this is not documented). I find the documentation severely lacking and confusing. Some questions need to be addressed in the manual. 1. Proper uninstall method 2. Suggested steps of install with those who are running GEX/UTX. (a vast majority of us are) Do I need to apply the hot fix after the installation, does the "I am a GEX user" only backup my files and which areas does it cover? 3. Explanation of what exactly "Poles" remove (all poles etc...) 4. Autogen option is confusing. Does it remove all autogen and if so only at night? Do I need to reenable for daytime flight. What does this statement mean "Third scenery continue with autogen". 5. I assume with 1.3 (have not installed) that when I click exit, my settings will be installed as I do not see an install button. The interface has changed from 1.2, please release a change log and update documentation. I am sure there are more, but just some basic outlines would be nice. I believe the developer is trying hard to address issues, however in his haste to release and adress problems he has neglected in communicating. He really needs to stop and invest the time to properly document his product in terms of what it does and how the changes and installation interacts with fsx and possibly recommended settings.

Totally agree with all of your comments. I would like to install 1.3, but until the above have been answered, I shall hold fire. Regards
