BBS airbus Ver1

Featured Replies

Hi wizzards, I believe here is what BBS meant from day 1:

1) With the 45 EUR you pay for the current version (latest 0.61), you will receive all updates to version 1.0 for free (and I understand they mean by 1.0 you have "all" systems implemented, i.e. complete products) for free

2) The Extreme version (which you need to pay additional amount on top the 45 EUR you paid) includes the version full 1.0 and additional features/models etc... (I remember it includes the LCD version cockpit and more, currently BBS is modelling the old CRT cockpit and systems). You may want to check their websites...

I own the BBS, not own the Aerosoft one. I will not compare them head to head (one is 0.61 and one is 1.04 and with different approach in mind). What I like about BBS: good "feel" when hand-flying, A/P smoothness and reliability, VC and model is pretty good but still needs improvement. What I like about Aerosoft Bus (I made 2 flights at my friend's home): I really like the details overall of the external model and V/C . Too bad Aerosoft decided not to go to hardcore simulation, otherwise I surely bought it as well.

Now I'm only flying the LSH Maddog MD-80... great aircraft!

Tell me about it...those fuel shutoff levers, you hear the wires being pulled up, setting trim config for take of sounds just like my old printer machine, and watch out that fuel when cruising, always activate fuel heat 2 minutes before take off and 2 minutes before landing.. good add on. :))

Btw, I didn't know that they deleted posts/threads that dont meet their expectations, or posts/threads that dont share the same visions. But I guess one of the reasons is that the might be unease if potential costumers read the posts, it'll affect their decisions to go or not to go with this product. I am not saying it is right, it is wrong from costumers point of view. But I do hope they clean up the mess soon.. so their 330 can be released sooner. I am sorry you don't enjoy this as much as I do. Im sure they are working on something.

Btw, I have watched several BBS videos and I think it is awesome. frankly, I didn't know that BBS airbus does exist. They mention a lot about PSS. Are they somewhat related?

They're the same company. It was once PSS but something happened (not really sure) then they reincarnated as BlackBox Simulation (BBS)

GO TO THE DEVELOPERS FORUM AND ASK FOR HELP WHEN NEEDED

Yeah right! is that a mantra you guys was programed to say by Aerosoft? You have said it over & over again... haven't you read a few posts above?

The people, staff included, over on the Aerosoft forums are vile to deal with. Especially when you confront them about their multitude of bugs in the software. That alone makes me never to want to buy from them again.

I totally agree! they are treating their customers very unprofessionally, their loss not mine.

To the OP there just isn't an grate airbus out yet, wait for the FSL A320 if you want real quality.

Kind regards
R.G

It is not a mantra at all. If you are not satisfied well you have the right to be so (as long as you bought the legal copy of course).

Put it this way, how can you be so sure that the FSL, which doesnt exist, is 100% trouble free? And if you find bugs with the FSL (which is normal for a complex add on), will you rant like this?

This discussion is going nowhere, especially with that mantra scenario.

Mantra is superstitious, invisible and unrevealed.. sounds like your FSL stereotype to me

Aerosoft's Airbus Extended is one of the 3 most lovely a/c I have purchased for FSX... Yes one of the very best 3 a/c out there. But then again in order to enjoy these a/c this much I realized I had to have a clean mind, learn to fly the a/c, apply required updates, and GO TO THE DEVELOPERS FORUM AND ASK FOR HELP WHEN NEEDED (and follow their instructions), and finally keep practicing until I learned it well. And I will tell you this Airbus is a dream to fly when following the above steps... I love it every second, and recently it's the only a/c I fly 80% of the time besides the PMDG 737 (Boeing).

Did you really just quote yourself and try to make it look like someone else said it?????? WOW. Please get outta here. Obviously you are trying to make it look like more people like the plane than actually do. Do you work for Aerosoft??? We get it you are ALL about the airbus extended. The moral of the story is if you want a plane that has no vnav, has some bugs and doesn't really perform systems wise like the real thing but looks really nice then get the Aerosoft one. If you care about having real systems that operate correctly then wait for BBS 1.0 or FSL. Lets stop pretending the the Airbus Extended is a "advanced simulation" in any way other than its graphics and decent FBW.

EDIT: By no means am i trying to "bash" Aerosoft. I just want people to see through Johnny767's praise. The plane seems great for people who don't need it to fly STAR's and approaches with complex altitude constraints. I just want to call it what it is. A REALLY nice looking airbus that generally flies similarly to the real thing but has some important parts missing. Its not in the PMDG level and was never meant to be. IMHO its not one of the best 3 airplanes for FSX because it just doesn't simulate enough of the real airbus features. Although you could definitely talk me into saying its one of the 3 best looking planes.

Guys.

I think this topic gone wayyyyy off topic. This is meant to be about the BBS Airbus, not the AXE.

I will formulate my reply to three groups of people here. Know that my replies aren't meant to be attacking anyone but meant to be civil.

To people who haven't bought the AXE product:

If you are thinking about buying either AXE or BBS, fine to discuss what you want here. Just Keep it civil and avoid bashing any developers (including BBS.)

To people who have bought the AXE product and unhappy with it:

I think we have made it clear its a product that is mid-range, with wide features and NOT an ADVANCED Simulation. Its meant to do MOST of the day to day things that is MOST COMMONLY used.

For those who are experiencing big problems with bugs, bear with us, we are almost working 7 days a week to solve the bugs. Things are getting sorted slowly. Feel Free to comment on the bugs now, but don't bash/troll.

Shame on whoever who misquoted my post and use it in a wrong context. "VNAV is meant to be basic and at the same time not so basic. I will describe more about this as we go on.". Note the last sentence. I haven't even describe more about it and you already start saying that we aren't capable of doing this, doing that. What does it goes to show? You are a troll and just one unhappy person in general. Simple.

To the few who thinks we treat customers unprofessionally, you are one of the few exceptions who think so, we have lots of customers satisfied with support. No, this does NOT mean that we have done everything right about support but, take a deep breath and grab a beer, don't get all so worked up. Go back to the forum and we will try to assist you as best we can. If you are unhappy with the support on the forum, simply go the the support via email with your complains and they will hear you out.

To those who think we ignore bugs, shame on you. You have no idea about how we work and thinking that any software is without bugs is a big big misconception. I used to think that if customers know that we are working hard to fix bugs that we did not encounter earlier on, they will wait patiently or at least not troll around. Well I am wrong.

Finally, if you are unhappy about how we classify bugs in importance, think about it this way, LNAV loss more important or 300...400...300 more important? And what makes you so sure that the real airbus don't have the same problem? No proof, nothing. On what basis do I have to trust you? Now, know this is not to make anyone angry, but dont expect me to trust a stranger claiming to know what the real airbus does.

To people who have bought the AXE product and happy with it:

Enjoy your stay. If you like the product, praise it all you want. Be understanding though to people who have problems with the bus but don't bother with the trolls.

This will be my only comment about this in this thread. I will not comment further here.

I think some people where expecting too much from the AXE. I'm a middle ground user (i don't even own the NGX, too complex for my taste, and i will probably not buy the FSL Airbus) and i'm quite happy with the AXE. Yes there is some really annoying bugs, and i had some troubles to get some answers on the Aerosoft forum but it's getting better and the next updates look promising.

We can't have constructive chat about this topic no matter what.

Just wait for FSLabs and then compare all of these products together.

To those of you complaining about the Blackbox A320 being a 'Beta', didn't you read up on it before you paid? Or haven't you even bought it yet? I purchased the 'Beta' fairly early on, I knew EXACTLY what I was buying and I am perfectly happy with what I received, and with the updates. I'm sure that I will eventually have an excellent product, but right now I have a reasonable A319, which is only getting better plus an A320. I also have the Aerosoft A320, which is ok, but that and the A321 is all it is, with Blackbox I get an A319 and an A320, with the option of an A321 later. Aerosoft seem reluctant to commit to an A319.

John Hansen

Aerosoft isn't reluctant to commit to an A319, they're doing it and the A318 as well. Also, a 330 is planned *maybe* still this year.

CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11

It's awesome seeing aerosoft developers to come here insult people and flee! LOL

I think that one comment here says everything about the AXE.

We were expecting too much from it...

We'll have the Airbus from BBS, which are not so bad for a beta release, although I choose to wait for v1 as I am a that point where I ran out of patience to stick with almost working software... Still, I'd like to underline that the BBS Airbus for a v0.61 it's not so bad!

Graphically is not so good as the AXE, but I prefer a fully functional aircraft that looks "normal" to a limited very good paint job!

And we'll have the FSL... seems to be a top product by the little information given to us, but is not out there yet, so yeah... I guess it doesn't count to this matter! :-)

To the Mr Facepalm which proudly said that the maddog isn't even a fsx native product. It isn't, but if you knew a little bit about the maddog, you'd knew that systems wise is on pair with the 737 ngx...
