I have never understood why some guys want "grubby" and "roughed up" cockpits. Fingerprints and scuff marks just annoy the hell out of me. I prefer nice, clean looking cockpits. After all, as far as I am concerned, I am purchasing a brand new airliner!

Do you really expect to have a brand new airliner for only 165 million dollars? They are selling you an old, used one. Starting the engines is always such an exciting moment! You'll never know whether they start or not. Also look for all the screws, bolts etc on the tarmac while doing your external inspection prior to flight. If you can find only one handful of them, it is safe to fly.

The VC shots are fabulous, looking so real IMO! wow just wow :shok: .....good job guys!

As previously discussed, we have included the entire suite of electronic checklists.  This covers all of the normal, and non-normal checklists that are on the airplane.  (Yes- all of them...)

The 777 cockpit concept is based around a "dark switch" approach, so the absence of indicator lights generally means that all is well.  When lights are supposed to turn on, they turn on, obviously- but we have taken it a step further by programming in the appropriate delay between detection of a problem, display of an EICAS message related to the problem, and activation of any aural or annunciator lights on the various panels.  In many cases you will notice that certain types of failures are obvious on the raw data, but even as much as 30 second may pass before the eicas message appears...  and maybe another 3-20 seconds before the annunciator light comes on...

Yes- we took the detail level that deeply...  (I don't know why...  we can't help ourselves sometimes...)

Now that's just amazing, what an attention to details, I'm so impressed :P

Gents-
I can't give you much detail here- because it is something that you haven't seen done yet in FSX... however...
We just had a breakthrough on something that is a huge technology advance for simmers who wish to fly the 777...
Can't tell you what it is yet- but we will show it to you in a video- and I think you will be quite excited.
I just had to tell someone. B)

Robert I've been waiting for this one since July.......still waiting.....patiently

Kind regards

Hi all,

Thanks for the update Robert, great pics and thanks again.

I don't really care which version of the 777 is produced by you, 200LR, 200ER, 300whatever it is! I think the important thing is that it's a 777 with that has the largest scope for us all to use. So if that's a 200LR then so be it, it's still a 777.............in  my book. Glad there is a freight version though!

Just one question, can anyone tell me which is the shortest 777 route flown? I love flying all these great new fsx planes from various folks, PMDG, QW, A2A etc but don't have enough time or that much inclination to fly long distance very often. So just wondering what is the shortest route the 777 is used on?

Anyway great update,

Happy flying.

Happy Flying,

Dave Phillips.

Wow this looks just awesome, I think this will definitely become my favouritee long haul twinjet, can't wait till it gets released!

Wow! sounds like "V1" call

The closest mother's day in the world is the forth sunday of this march・・・

Thanks

Folks don't let having no first officer, cabin crew..etc keep them from enjoying these fantastic PMDG airliners.  Likewise, I dont think not having the exact variant that your favorite airlines fly would really detract from you from enjoying this 777 experience.

#$&* car rental agency didn't have the stock V6 mustang I wanted...instead they said I had to drive this souped up limited edition GTO...those ######s!

I'm going on a 2 week trip next saturday. I hope you'll wait at least until my return before you release this one. I wouldn't want to miss the release day.

Oh, sorry for others

The day the NGX came out my 2 week holiday started...

Why the 777-200LR was chosen in the base Pack and not the ER which is far more common and in use?

the 200LR as of today is hardly in use.

The 200ER is far more common...

only 58 total orders/use are for the LR as apposed to 422 for the ER

From Tabs:

"The 200LR, 777F, and 300ER alll share the same engine type (the GE90-110B/115B). Modelling the engines and their associated performance data in the FMC and tuning it is one of the most time consuming parts of our process. To release a 200ER as the first package it would require us to model 3 different engine types which are not used in any of the newer variants. Add 3 more on top of that if you want the original 200 A and B models.

It just made sense to us to start with the LR (and the F) because it's kind of the jack of all trades of the fleet - it can do practically anything the other variants can do aside from carrying a few more people like the 300ER. Any 777 flight you want to do will be doable right off the bat with the LR."

PC Specs(Rebuilt 1/11/19): i7-9700K - Non-OC'd, EVGA RTX 2080ti, G.Skillz 16GB Ram 3000mhz, EVGA SuperNOVA 1000w PSU, Cooler Master ML360R, ASRock Phantom Gaming 4 MoBo, 2x 2TB HDD, 1x 1TB Samsung EVO SSD, 1x 220GB WD SSD

WOW!!!  I can't wait for this one!  The 777 has always been one of my favorite aircraft...

Now all we need is PFPX and life will be good!

Milton Kuser - KDFW

thanks a lot for the update but now we need a trailer to get prepared for the release!!!

Fantastic update! Two quick questions though.

1. Is the 200ER planned at any time for release?

2. How does Door management work. Is it custom like the 747? I would hope so, as some airliners use the L2 door as a main exit, and I really appreciate the custom door controls on the 747. Either way, I'll be happy, but maybe an option to specify what is triggered as the "Main Exit" door command.

Thanks PMDG for all your hard work.
