Loved the put-down for all the smart-assed who have been trying to impress us other mere mortals with their so-called in-depth knowledge of this aircraft!

Agree! That was the highlight for me!

And what about the ones who were expressing such impatience that they almost demanded instant answers/updates/et al....... and who stated that they would take their $65 elsewhere?

To add to what RSR said, we're using some techniques with the textures and stuff that are different than how things were done with the NGX. That combined with the overall lower and cleaner geometric complexity of the 777's cockpit vs. the NG's (in real life I mean) means you'll probably see some gains (this isn't a guarantee, but it's what we expect to be the case).

Will you include a performance manager like in the ngx to lower the textures quality for less powerful machines?

Can I vote for a "calling up the cleaning crew for a "clean up" option? The smudgy displays and dust elsewhere is a realistic nice touch, but it would be nice to clean it at times. Thats the first thing I would do getting in there. LOL

I have never understood why some guys want "grubby" and "roughed up" cockpits. Fingerprints and scuff marks just annoy the hell out of me. I prefer nice, clean looking cockpits. After all, as far as I am concerned, I am purchasing a brand new airliner!

As i was reading the thread about the lack of updates and people threatening to take there dollars elsewhere..inside i was praying for this thread to appear  i thought maybe 2-3 months away and what do you know, three days later here it is..amazing coincidence.

I was sitting next to an AirTran FO on a trip from Atlanta to Charlotte and we were discussing the accuracy of the flight model of FSX. His belief was that the model was dumbed down after 911 so as to prevent the product from being used as a training aid for "undesirables".

I don't think he would have the same feeling if he saw the quality of the products that come out of PMDG (specifically this new bird). Of course there are significant differences ... mainly how the physics and gforces of an actual flight interacts with the pilot's hands, feet, head, eyes and butt as they are sitting in the cockpit on a final approach. But I'm sure that this plane is going to have a flight model that is as real as it can get without purchasing a real one.

I can't wait for this to come out ... thanks so much for making such great products!

and then the first officer selects gear up, and uses his fingers to dial up a higher altitude on the MCP, selects something on the CDU, and suddenly your clean cockpit has some finger marks on the glareshield and FMS. That only took 2 minutes after takeoff. :P

We're buying an airliner, not a private jet that's gonna fly 2 hours a month, after being cleaned for 10 hours. Yesterday some virtual crew flew the thing for 10 hours across the Atlantic, and now you're complaining that the captain wasn't wearing little white gloves the whole flight, meaning that he left some finger print smudges on the yoke, throttle, and left CDU. Cleaning crew cleared the cockpit last week but there a touch of dust right in the corner that is hard to get at. Plus that little scratch that nobody knows how it got there is almost invisible, but every so often with the right angle of the sun it will catch a bit of light and be noticable.

Bob also accidently pushed his finger up on the MFD the other day when selecting the rotary knob just under it. Wiping down the screen with a cloth got rid of most of the smudge, but there's still a little oily mark that catches the light sometimes... almost invisible most of the time unless the sun is low in the sky off to the right.

I don't like it! I will stick with the fs2002 stock 777.

I think it's much more realistic!

Guess most of you remember this one. It flew pretty much like a jet fighter and sounded horribly lot like your mother's vacuum cleaner!

Seriously: Fantastic work PMDG, can't wait for this one!

Just a question: will she have a 2D panel. I'm a fan of 2D panels.

Thanks

Ah yes...compared to today's standards its *awful*, but it was good back in the day ;)

HELLO EVERYONE. I'm just curios and would like to know if the 777 would have integrated wing views within it. I mean wither or not it does have the VC wing views i would still buy it. Just curios

Thanks Very Much Captain,

This update is very much appreciated, and the images are just fine and  Dandy, and the same as when Froogle asked for a release date in interview, you still stick to your pricipals, i love it. :P

I am still getting to grips with the NGX series so im not insisting on more info at this time, in fact im still more looking forward to the B747-20.

Again what you said in the big interview about the "Queen of the sky" made me want her all the more,  That said I will happily take on the triple 7 to pass on the time

thanks again

Will you guys implement the refueling system we saw on the md11?

I would also love to know this.

[God I hate this new Quote system, hoping it will change back to the original format.]

+1 PMDG haven't addressed the flocks of comments about this yet

Yeah PMDG.. please spend as much time as  you want for an awesome night lighting VC.    I love flying at night and one of the first thing I do is check the Night VC.

BTW..Where is the thread where we get to beg for our fav Liveries?
