Mmmm, the VC texturing does not look significantly better than in the original CLS 742, IMHO.

I don't think I'd be jumping on this one.

A classic 747!! Finally! I will be getting it for sure, love the old classics, they keep you busy on all flights, nothing boring about them!

Mind you, none of my landings are boring either...

You do know that they've had one out for about 6 years :-

this is an update project for the above - not a brand new development.

Yes I do thank you, I have been waiting for an updated FSX native model of the 747 classic.

Finally around the corner, can't wait.

Hmm, while the VC looks fine to me, I'm a bit worried about the autopilot complexity. To anyone that has the v.1 of this product, how complex is the autopilot? It seems they're putting an FMC in with some LNAV capability but how good was it before this upgrade?

<sigh> Wish developers would stop using Facebook for updates or info. Many work places, like mine, block social sites.

Work can't block a smartphone or free VPN.

YEs I have the first one, it is not a bad plane but they never fixed the INS which is why I bought it in the first place. Could never get the INS to stabilise no matter what you did. If it isnt working in this one I wont be bothererd.

In terms of FMS, and LNAV capability, it will be comparable to QW, LNAV, no VNAV.

Is there an approximate release date? Will it be April?

Who knows. It's been a long time coming.

Will it add any more systems to the plane or just the avionics upgrade?

I don't really see a difference between version 1 and the new one really. The old one had some pretty bad bugs though, such as the VC being oriented upwards. So when it looks like you're at 0 degrees pitch, you're actually pitching down about 5 degrees, which is extremely frustrating. Another annoying thing about V1 is that black piece of the dash in front of the captain and FO. It's blurry, and it's pretty much always in sight. This makes the cockpit appear of lower quality simply because of that blurry part. It'd be a good aircraft if it weren't for those two significant bugs. But V2 looks like it has a more detailed panel.

Just my 2c.

Thanks,

Kevin L
