An "update" does not mean give me release date.. They released training manuals back in what? August of last year? There has been maybe 4-5 updates, and few screenshots. I know PMDG is the top dog in the industry so they can do what they want, but when when I was bored with the level d 767 and the pmdg 747, I went with Ifly 737 instead of theirs.. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there and If there was a better competitor for 777 other than captain sim I would buy theirs just because I like their business model better than keeping customers in the dark for months at a time. Captain Randazzo can save the companies reputation by making top not products but hes hurting it in other prospects. Take a look at Drzewiecki Design and Pro Atc X, Constantly updating on project updates and there isnt any kind of drama on their forums regarding release dates and other things. Oh BTW what happened to FScaptain!??!

Buying or not-buying the PMDG product is your choice.  I for one, will wait for the PMDG product, if I know it is coming regardless of how long it takes.......I just enjoy the PMDG product and their attention to detail and the completeness of their product when released.

Lets get off of the negative comments, before this article comes under observation.  :(

agree with whats been said  so far but I do feel that They could post a few more updates. I don't need lovely pictures just  its going well or we've found a bug,it doesn't take long

I'm not really bothered now when it comes out as its spring time in the home of golf so I won't be doing any virtual flying til October (thats if its out by then :LMAO: )

They could close their doors tomorrow and owe us nothing.

How they communicate prior to the release of a product is their own prerogative and in my experience, PMDG has a very good reason for everything they do - including their communication policies.

But complaining isn't forbidden - it's just ineffective.

I also can't wait. my CS 777 is getting ugly each day

CS 777 is very bad.. I hated boeing after i have been used this aircarft..

You're right, they have a reputation of releasing products that actually work and aren't pushed out the door full of bugs because they listened to complainers in forums.

I 110% Agree with you, they do make really good product, but they can release it next year and it will still have bugs in it. Not even PMDG can make a 100% bug free product.  I bet after they actually release the 777 there will be some kind of a patch a month or 2 after.

Once again, the only one making sense instead of all the bleating here. PMDG owe the flight sim community zilch. If they wanted to walk away from this business, that would be entirely their prerogative. What would the bleaters say then, 'Oh, why no updates as to when you are going to come back?'.

Tabs or RSR has already posted that the flight sim community is just a tiny fraction of their business. Never heard so much moaning going on when we were made to wait for over 5 years for the MD-11, yet since the NGX got released, and news of the development of the T7 broke, it's been a constant stream of 'When.....when....if only they'd post.......etc....etc'.

guys come on ! if people are annoying you by asking 'when' then dont waste ur precious time to reply. remember guys ' we are not normal' aviation is an addiction just like drugs! and the biggest addicts are pmdg! they love this stuff so they are not walking away! RSR said before that he is a lucky man because he is making money doing something he loves! come on pmdg are big boys they can handle people asking every second when, when when! also am sure they are more desperate to get this plane in our hands! remember guys we are 'not normal' we are all 'aviation freaks'! I'm  not annoyed if an overly eager 'aviation addict' vents there frustration so long as they are respectful  and obey the forum rules! guys no matter how many times u 'tell people off' for asking they will keep asking. so you all just chill. all this will be forgotten when we start doing emirates 777-200lr dubai -houston. ULTRA LONG HAUL

Jarga Mboge

I have never seen this and what does that mean?  What other lines of business are they in then?

Oh then that simply means that most of their customers are not active on the forums.  Usually the case.

Thanks for that perspective. Makes sense now.
