April 15, 201313 yr It's pretty much all been said a bajillion times, PMDG owes us nothing. The NGX was in development for longer than 4yrs before it was released. Did it have bugs, sure it did but not the kind of bugs that are show-stoppers. The T7 is nearing completion and a release after roughly 2yrs of development time. This is still to long for many I guess? There are many reasons why PMDG is not very vocal during development of a major product like the T7, some of these are common sense and others are internal reasons we can only guess. Personally, I have major respect for this team and what do and what they don't do. If we get some updates soon, fantastic. If not, then I'll simply check on a later date. Jon Preston
April 16, 201313 yr Give me 777, plz. Anyways, I really don't like the wait but I know that when it releases it will be one of the best aircrafts out there. So, I don't mind so much. Just hopes it comes out in Q2, which is looking like its not going to happen. Aspiring PilotFSDreamTeam JFK, ImagineSim IAD, NMG JohannesburgPMDG 737 NGX, QW 757, Awaiting the QW787 and PMDG 777
April 16, 201313 yr Commercial Member Kacper- I'm sorry PMDG fails to run in a manner that meets your expectations. I try very hard to consider your personal needs and meet your personal requirements while making decisions here- but every time such a decision must be made, you aren't here to provide me with the guidance I so obviously need- so I just kinda wing-it... In spite of the fact that I don't have you here to guide me- PMDG is in quite good health- has a strong reputation in the marketplace- and the primary reason our products come to market complete, fully functional and with stable quality is because we DO NOT predict release dates ahead of time. This isn't a game, it is a considered professional decision. When the product is finished, it is finished. We do not know when that will happen- but we have quite a bit of experience doing this- and when we know... we know. I have provided more than 30 updates on the status of this project- many of them just in the past 90 days. If you do not like this level of honestly- I'm sorry. But it is how we have operated PMDG for more than fifteen years- and in spite of being honest and candid with you- we continue to grow and thrive... So I think we'll stick with what we know works... But- if you'd like to come by and run coffee and nourishment patrols for the team- it would free me up to spend less than 18h/day here- and that would please me immensely right now. B) Robert S. April 16, 201313 yr Hi, Ok so everyone is waiting for the T7 to come along, I liked your post Robert! In my opinion, not that it's worth much, PMDG have produced many amazing aircraft for us all to fly, and if the T7 takes ages and ages then so be it, that's more mileage added onto my MD11, 737NGX and J41 and 747! Having read the post's on here about another developer, no names, who publishes half finished aircraft, I know I'd sooner wait until the T7 is ready then end up with another half finished product. PMDG take your time and let the 777 fly when your ready. Which strangely I know your going to do anyway. Happy flying. Happy Flying, Dave Phillips.
April 16, 201313 yr I don't normally make requests for release dates and such, but I'm compelled to chime in here. First, if the 777 is anywhere close to the quality and realism of the 737NGX, then I'll happily wait as long as necessary for it to be released without constantly asking for release dates. However, while I understand and respect a developer's right not to provide any release dates or related information, I do believe that PMDG could very well give interested customers at least a rough idea of when it will finally be released, e.g. within 6 months. Being this far into the development process, PMDG surely knows whether it will be able to release the product within 6 months, a year, or longer. If you simply want to stick to a policy of never providing this information even if you know it, then that's another story. Thank you. April 16, 201313 yr Any chance though that any updates can be regarded as NEWS and placed in one handy location such as the PMDG website? Just searching through forums and casting my eye over "some really well thought through comments" is a shame. eg.....the "let the previews begin" would have been great to see on the website........sorry i am not a social media guru. Lots of love. Dave Boeing.
April 16, 201313 yr rough idea of when it will finally be released, e.g. within 6 months. What happens when the 777 takes more than 6 months? People will act like kids throwing a tantrum because PMDG failed to give them the 777 they felt entitled to. Personally, I like the way they do things. It would save me the heart attack (and having to replace the F5 button) while I'm anxiously counting down the days. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
April 17, 201313 yr I read each of the PMDG Support Forums and found this posted just yesterday by Capt RSR: "Gents- Between 16APR13-01MAY13, we will be in the process of reconfiguring our operation to handle the increase loads and customer capacity anticipated for the 777 release." So, gentlemen, take it with a grain of salt and wish. Harry Nelson

April 17, 201313 yr Commercial Member Who knows - maybe the plane is done and ready to go, but they're all having too much fun playing Black Ops II and ordering pizza to be bothered with releasing the product.Still - that's their prerogative. Haha - that made my morning. Thanks for that. But- if you'd like to come by and run coffee and nourishment patrols for the team- it would free me up to spend less than 18h/day here- and that would please me immensely right now. I'll be down in that area today if coffee is needed. Then again, with these temperatures and the time I'll be down there, what's the company policy on cold brews? Haha. At least it's nice out!
