No they didn't.

 

I don't think Eaglesoft has come out with anything in quite some time now.

 

If I'm wrong I'm sure they will correct me here.

They did release an updated VC with more 3D knobs, better textures ect, shortly after the aircraft was released.

If you have V1.84 then you already have it

V1.84 which is contained in current download is it boys...we've stated no updates to VC past that one. 3 years ago and just now checking back. :wacko:

Move on. There is nothing to see here. Keep it moving.

Three years ago Eaglesoft released revision 1.84 of their Citation X Extreme v2.0.  This release provided a reworked VC with 3D switches and knobs.  At that point, all further possible development on the aircraft ceased.

 

The modeler had real-life issues that were 1000% (life-and-death level, we'll leave it at that) more important than modeling aircraft for FS.  The gauge/systems programmer (me) also had real-life issues that necessitated moving forward.

 

If my personal time permits, I may be able to offer Eaglesoft an update to the gauge/systems code to address some things that have popped up through the years... but it is at my convenience.  My real life comes far ahead of this hobby these days.  It is what it is, and I apologize if it offends someone.

Bottom line is as Ed states and so have we. Real life losses and potential losses of loved ones trump any and all "concerns" that simmer express. Period.

Thanks to warpd for confirming what was mentioned earlier in the post but not confirmed until now, after I very politely and humbly requested that info. So I also agree that the topic should be closed as it addresses the issue without ambiguity, and not for any other reason.

The good news folks, it there is now a possibility, however minimal it may be, of a bit up updating for the eXtreme jet at some point in the future.  This is way better than 'no chance at all' as far as I am concerned.

 

I predict all the Cessna Citations for FSX will experience a small resurgence in popularity in the very near future. It is in the cards.
