April 28, 201313 yr Right now...i gotta keep with BBS...till AXE would release the freaking VNAV. Could be just another 1-3 weeks ... What happened to AVSIM
April 28, 201313 yr Anyone know if there a tutorial for the AXE? Thanks. You'll find all the manuals in your AXE documentation folder (there's an entry in the windows start menu to open this folder directly). For checking before buying, the product page of the Aerosoft shop offers 6 different links to the freely available tutorial (called step-by-step-guide). Each link is for a different language, one of these links happens to cover the English language ... ^_^ Hope that helps a bit ... B) EDIT: You may want to check these vids(!), too: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/67438-step-by-step-flight-videos-now-available/ What happened to AVSIM
April 28, 201313 yr Thanks very much for that very prompt response,Viele. Will check those links. Rick Almeida
April 28, 201313 yr Is it possible to save a flight and reload it with all FMC data and panel state saved? Like in PMDG NGX? Riccardo OS: Windows 10-64 bit, CPU: i7-7700K @4.20 GHz, GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 8GB GDDR5, RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB 3000MHz, MB: MSI Z270
April 28, 201313 yr Why do all the videos I watch on the AXE seem like there is not alot to do. Press the checklist and nearly everything that is called out by the female copilot is done by this pilot. You dont do much. Whats the point of that. Is there no way to seperate it , or have you be a little more involved? CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
April 28, 201313 yr Is it possible to save a flight and reload it with all FMC data and panel state saved? Like in PMDG NGX? Panel state saving is still to be refined. Current working is similar to iFly (or LVLD in FS9): - You save the flight situation first (default FSX command) - You save the AXE state (panels and MCDU data) next. Loading is the other way round, of course. Autopilot and all other systems should work immediately after that. Only item left to do is setting TCAS (mode and tilt). Whats the point of that. Is there no way to seperate it , or have you be a little more involved? There are two copilot modes available: - certain checklist items are done by the copilot. (less workload for us simmers). - all items are done by us. (copilot calls only the challenges from the C/Ls) Not sure, which mode is shown in the vids. But it's definitely C/Ls items only and not the more enlarged flows. Pilots' workload is reduced anyway due to the Airbus automation and the 'dark cockpit' concept. What happened to AVSIM

I can see how it might help novices (or look good on you tube videos), but otherwise, no need for it on my part. Richard Wells

I dont have a problem with a copilot calling out the checklist for me. Thats efficient and ensures all is done correctly. But Id rather do the items themselves. After all the airbus seems too automated, so doing things keeps one alert. Thats why autolands are boring. Boeing included. Its always fun to do the approach and landing yourself. Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 2 agreed.. i love piloting the ngx by hand... and daylight autolands make me snooze... in really bad weather though its fun letting them take you down to minimums while you search fkr the runway lights Russell Gough SE London
April 29, 201313 yr I agree: Turning copilot 'task-sharing' on may be more realistic (compare FS2Crew). But doing the copilot's items myself helps me to familiarize with the flightdeck and procedures. What happened to AVSIM

Sorry Viel, but when you said "Panel state is still to be refined" you mean there will be a fix for this and a new feature to save all data with one click via FSX menu? Maybe in 1.10 next update? April 29, 201313 yr The AXE is a good buy, by far the best Airbus out there right now and for a sale price, no brainer really. It has it's annoyances i've found such as lack of wing flex making it look very silly but still it's very decent. Lawrence Ashworth
