06MAY13 - PMDG 777 External Model Preview #2 of 2

It would be nice to see the mood lighting while parked at the gate but if a plane is taxing to the hanger then the cabin lights are on most of the time.

Got laughed at quite a bit for it (by other users) you can search the forums and check

I'm probably one of them...just a guess based on how I tend to be.  It would actually be kinda cool now that I think about it.  Not necessary, but something that would add to screenshots for those who take them.

I have a dream that one day, I wake up and see "777 released". I have a dream today ! :D

Why are you sleeping when the release date is so close?

Hi, I'm not speaking for mr Randazzo or pmdg. But I believe this feature is already modelled in several fsx aircraft and is pretty standard. I know for certain during my days of flying the posky 777 that the boogies sink in after touchdown. They would even sink deeper or rise up in response to changing fuel loads. I'm sure this would be implemented on the pmdg 777 too.

I have said aircraft for FS9 and FSX and the only way I've ever managed to replicate it exactly is with edetroits contact points. They all do it, but i'm really interested in the detail of the way they actually sink. Unfortunately, the video I linked to was very short notice and the best I could find at the time.

At 45 seconds in on this video, you really get a sense of the weight sinking into the bogies.

@PMDG Team,

Robert mentioned the 200ER in the march previews.

[...]

What is Included:  The base package will include the 777-200LR and 777F airplane.  The 300 series airplanes will be included in an expansion package, similarly to what we did with the 737-600/700.  We are still reviewing how to roll the 200ER and previous models into the entire package- as they have VERY different systems, flight models, sound models and engine models in many cases and these differences need to be coded into the sim.  I'll get back to you with more information on that as we make those decisions...We might even stuff the ER into the base package if testing drags on...we'll see!)

[...]

Has there been any movement on the decision yet?

With kind regards,

Alex

Hello Guys!

Just 1 simple question to the devs or somebody how can answer me:

Is the pmdg T7 base pack requires to install the 737ngx base pack to work properly?

Sorry to write here... :P

Cheers,

Norbert

No. The 777 will be a product in its own right that is completely separate from the ngx.

What you are asking, does the NGX base pack need to be installed in order for the T7 to work?

No!

It's an entirely different package altogether.

Ok Oliver, thank you!

We went through the flight test cards, and I can't find anywhere they indicate that Jason was supposed to intentionally overtemp the brakes...  If you look closely, you might notice something unusual in the image below...  Anyone notice it and feel like guessing why it is?

Hi Captain,

it was mentioned before: The first axis doesn't show the glow. Either the brakes failed as suggested before, or this axis does not carry brakes at all for whatever reason: Saving weight, reduced system complexity, or

savety, if overheating flattens the respective tyres, the front axis' tyres might survive undamaged until the aircraft comes to a complete stop?

(Else: Fantastic shots! Waiting impatiently...)

Just had another ten hour (lol) look at all the screenshots saved on my iPad. So stoked to see you've modelled the landing gear unsafe light! I didn't realise you asked if we could notice it since the photos and you saying "nearly finished" got all my attention LOL! I feel kind of lucky you're doing my ultimate favourite aircraft - if you weren't, I doubt I'd be around FSX much..

My friend that flies them called me crazy to find me doing the 777's CBT course haha! If only I get to fly her in the real world one day (possibly the 777-8/9X!). But for now, this is perfect (-:
