It's actually pretty boring - the news are coming out with all kinds of rubbish:

What will she be doing in preparation for the birth?
what will she be doing leading up to the birth?
what will the first things she will do after the birth?

How important is it for her to have skin to skin contact?

They talk as if they are the only couple to have kids.

There was so much more......

Yes its the news I get it, but they string it out sooooo much!!

My guess is its not Williams - I reckon its harry's!! now that would be news!

They (news) are a business and in it to make money. I agree it is way over the top

Boy? Girl? Name it and move on...That is all I need to know for now.

Can you imagine what we're having to put up with, on this, here in the UK?

Now I'm not a Royalist, (I'm more of a British Republican), but I say each to their own .... however that doesn't work when my wife's had it on the news for the last 3 hours..... I can hardly hear the engines on my Turbine Duke for the constant (banal) news on this new baby!

So yes, I apologize on behalf of England for all the over-cooked news coverage we'll now get on this (how long can they stretch it out!?), but I did have a giggle at @Drumcode's comment, considering how much US media get's fed around the world  :P

At the end of the day ....... it's just another baby and it will do the things that babies do (both ends)..... I hope it is healthy, but that aside (and like a lot of people in the UK trust me), I'm just not interested.  :lazy:

An appropriate aircraft for today's flight.

Sad day when this is actually a headline news in the media in the US.

Really? I actually really like it. I like learning about what happens in other countries. It doesn't make me a narrow-minded person.

That is the most ignorant thing I've ever read on these forums.

Congratulations to the royal family.

I say....."Alexander".   Oops....I started it!

The news in the US likes it more than the people do.  I don't think many people care to be honest with you.  At least it gets GZ off the headline for a minute.  I guess the royal welfare system will go on another 100 years at least.  BTW isn't the Queen 1/2 German or something?  She is the classiest lady out there I have to admit!

So who won the "release date" contest?

they do cost a bit of money but compared to the revenue they generate they turn profits in other areas like tourism, memorabilia, printed materials, etc. In 2012 the profits from the crown estate were $400 million. So they actually make money for the tax payer.

This baby being born means an increase in revenue for the tax payer as well. Bring on the Royal China with family portraits in them.

Every country has a head of state but not many of them have the ability to generate the kind of revenue that the Royal Family can. Therefore keeping them is better on the tax payer.

Yes she does have German in her.

It also means Prince Harry just got bumped down the list of those in line for the throne. Poor guy.

I think she is half german phillip.

Stan i think its a "harry" junior and has came out ginger!

Ummm, despite wishing the couple well and having not the slightest wish to change our system of government, many of us in the UK also think it's a rather sad day when so much media attention is paid to this!

Not only there far more important things going on in the world, it's also an intolerable intrusion into a private family matter, which will only get worse once the baby puts in an appearance.

Mindless celebrity chasing by the dumb end of the media as usual........

PS I'd rather hoped that they'd break out of the usual round of repeating the names of previous kings and queens. Say something like Prince Harley or Princess Chantelle. I feel I'll be disappointed on that one.
