Hi Everyone

I have a reasonable amount of European Sceneries but want to do some US internal flights in the PMDG 737 as well as some hops across the Atlantic from my European airports in the upcoming PMDG 77L. 

Can I get some input into some of the best US sceneries out there for FSX and PMDG aircraft?

Skysunjet makes an excellent KPHL for free.

 

Since you want to fly the B777 from Europe basically most of our big airports are covered:

Do you look for payware or freeware? I suppose because you have not clarified this we can include payware too.

 

FSDREAMTEAM and FlyTampa have great airports.

If you have a lot of $ you are willing to spend then I would recommend Jackson Hole by ORBX FTX... Most detailed airport ever made for FSX in the USA. Flytampa/Imaginesim/FSDreamTeam/LatinVFR are all good to!

Just be sure you have a killer machine. To get the full richness of the package, you will need it.  I do agree that is an amazing rendition. We go to Jackson every year and it is just as Orbx shows it.

My top 5 would probably be(in no particular order):

 

ORBX KJAC, but you'll need ORBX NRM or CRM - I'm never really sure which one it is - for the best experience

FSDT KLAS, especially with the incredible Blue Sky Scenery surrounding it

ORBX PAKT with ORBX PFJ

Aerosoft PANC

Aerosoft PADU

 

I know, those are probably not the ideal airports if you want to to go to Europe(except maybe McCarran and Anchorage), but they're all excellent addons IMO, and capable of handling the 737 (although PADU will be a certain challenge, and it't really not advisable to fly the -800 or -900 version there).

BTW, while I agree that PAKT is a very well done airport and appropriate for the 737, before recommending I would make sure its limitations are understood.  Because of its unique sloped taxiways and runway elevated above the ramp, AI traffic does not work there and there are only two designated parking spots - one at the terminal and one in a lower GA area.

Anything by FSDT or FlyTampa is pretty much guaranteed to be fantastic, the others that have been mentioned are also great; FlightBeam, LatinVFR etc

 

I love FSDT's KLAX, not only does it look brilliant but I always had pretty smooth framerates too...

BTW - Should be a top 20.  There are alot of great quality payware airports out there.

IMO FB has taken it a step above what FSDT is doing.

 

Don't flinch on KSFOv2. It gets excellent performance as well.

Well you can go to Europe from PANC taking short cut route over North Pole to save fuel.

 

Also Aerosoft does not make PADU I think you mean Aerosoft PAFA Fairbanks which has enough runway distance for 777 to go to Europe.

Just to add to my list KPHL which is freeware is a really well done airport and I highly recommend it.
