MILVIZ 732 RELEASED!

Featured Replies

Why on earth would anyone want to do something like this.  The Milviz exterior is simply beautiful and couldn't be more realistic, and their interior is just jaw-dropping.  I love the looks of this aircraft, all around.

Maybe because someone just wants to put the -200 Advanced exterior, but that seems silly.

Because, just..because.

A bit 'concerned' about some of the things that seem to be missing, such as the pdcs, and also the inop items, seen in screenshots, from the sp-177.   Dissapointed to say the least that many pre-purchase questions are once again being shrugged off with the "just buy it!!!" caveat.   As far as the guy who doesn't want it because of the -200basic exterior...if the guy doesn't want it for whatever reason, then he doesn't want it.   Why does everybody else have to write him off as "silly" or imply that he is trollish?

Emailed you once yesterday and once today so far... no reply. Dying to spend my money! Don't you want it? :P

Same here.  I used the online 'contact us' at their site.  Milviz do, without doubt, create STUNNING addons, but almost always with several release issues.  It's like they need to release too early or something?!

I didn't get any email yesterday that wasn't answered.  This morning yes, lots... But I have a 3 year old daughter who is taken care of by ME (Mr. mom), so, sorry but that takes precedence.  All emails will be answered shortly.

for those who don't have my email... colin at milviz dot com

For the PDCS, it was pretty clear that we weren't going to do it from the get go if we had the FMS.  The choice was obvious and we made it.

The two inop items on the SP-177 are being looked at being made operational as we speak.

We release when we feel it's ready for the masses.

There are not too many bugs but, like ALL devs and all products, we are going to have SOME.  And we will FIX them as and when we can.

Thanks for your patience.

So what you're saying is you don't have acceleration and you're running this on SP2 without any problems?  If so, would love to hear how things are working out for you as your time spent with the 732 progresses. Would love to buy this but I'm unclear on the Acceleration/SP2 issue. I only have SP2.

They already confirmed that this bird in fact works with SP2 without problems and that they are going to change that misinformation in advertising.

The bird runs 100% on SP 2 and the website sales page was modded to reflect that information.

@Dougal, my isp has been banned by yours for spam.  So it's no surprise that I'm not getting your mails.  You have now been sent the coupon and the link.  Your call.

I am presently looking for a new ISP.  Recommendations are WELCOME and needed.

Hi Colin,     (or any user of the pre-order release),

Can you confirm that one of the two SP177 INOPs, that are not functional at present, is the FL CH (level change) mode?

Thanks.

With original nd.mdb or the new cycle8 file (NavdataPro download) or with the file completely removed from the Navdata folder (on my PC, C:\Users\vaughan\AppData\Roaming\Navdata) I get the same SID selections (rebooted PC between tests) for KDTW and the same navdata expires date on CDU.

So I am not sure what this file is used for with Milviz737.
At first glance it appears it is not used?

And for example PALACE 3 is now PALACE 7 ... ROD 2 is now ROD3 ... RID 4 is now RID 5

So it is a bit of a mystery?

I brought up that statement and got my answer a long time ago but thanks just the same

Understood about the pdcs for the sp-177/fms-equipped version.  However for the sp-77 version, I do hope that you would consider implementing this.  The pdcs really seems to me as a signature avionic for the 732.  Please reconsider, maybe?

Here is my own subjective and selfish opinion about how I would use this airplane when I buy it:  I'm primarily interested in the older version, so naturally want that to be as complete and as accurate as you could make it.  Don't want to have to contend with having a MELed example of the old-school version just because a more thoroughly implemented modernized version exists.   :Ying Yang:   I know you have to make design choices, but as a greedy customer  , I want all the provided flavors to taste just as sweet.

I'm personally not quite as interested in the modernized/fms-equipped version, because when you have an autothrottle, sp-177, and fms, it enters into the same operational paradigm as the "other" 737, and I'm not talking justflight or captain sim, or iFly.  So I know my expectations for that version would probably be quite high.  I likely wouldn't use the fms version as much as I would the older one because there is already a very good 737 fitting that role in my hangar.

Probably going to go ahead and get it, despite my rule against buy now/decide later.  I hestitate to do that though, because if I don't end up liking it, I always end up being even more malcontent, regardless of the refund, then if I hadn't bought it in the first place!

Why not read the manuals (available now, from the MilViz site), they'll give a discerning simmer like you a good indication of the level of the simulation and whether it will suit your needs?

I read them and that's when I found out that FL CH is not yet working on the SP177 version.  For me, performing a climb in a SP177 737 using Vertical Speed, is a bit of a killer....  So I'm holding out until they add FL CH, then I'll have this in a flash!
