July 29, 201312 yr Brian g. Look for the FLIGHT SIM tab on the MV website please. Went to your site. Clicked on sim tab. No where to order. Product page says Download-coming soon, Brian G Brian Green

July 29, 201312 yr With original nd.mdb or the new cycle8 file (NavdataPro download) or with the file completely removed from the Navdata folder (on my PC, C:\Users\vaughan\AppData\Roaming\Navdata) I get the same SID selections (rebooted PC between tests) for KDTW and the same navdata expires date on CDU. So I am not sure what this file is used for with Milviz737. At first glance it appears it is not used? Have you gone into the FMC and changed the database from FSX to NavData? Joe Lorenc
July 29, 201312 yr If you're looking for a PMDG B732 this isn't for you. This is the next best thing though. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
July 29, 201312 yr Surely one of the best classic jets or aircraft if any kind for fsx... I don't like when other companies get compared to PMDG so much but that's just me I guess
July 29, 201312 yr Have you gone into the FMC and changed the database from FSX to NavData? No .... I assumed I was looking at FMC because I thought FSX did not have SID/STARs nor NavData exipration date. Also on my first read of the FMC manual I looked up database and did not see FSX/NavDat selections. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

I don't like when other companies get compared to PMDG so much but that's just me I guess Neither do I which is why I threw it out there... I think some people expect every jet to have every single feature modeled. Obviously PMDG has set the bar extremely high with their B737/8 but imho not every product is going to have this type of modeling. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
July 29, 201312 yr I'm definitely more interested in the newer version. Flying complicated SIDS and STARS raw data is just too hard to be much fun to me. In the real world you'd have someone else flipping the frequencies, rotating the course bug and doing the ATC calls. Single pilot as you are in FSX in a high performance jet I like something to reduce the workload to give me at least half the chance of flying it to a reasonable degree of accuracy. So I'll take the FMC thanks.

Yeah and then some people want features that are in the NGX that wouldn't even be realistic in other aircraft types. I am very looking forward to 6 o'clock mountain time lol
July 29, 201312 yr this addon seems to be a good midcore addon like the QW BAe-146. good choice. Fabian Fuchs

Also on my first read of the FMC manual I looked up database and did not see FSX/NavDat selections. I only found it after noticing the "default" expiration date was 7/31, not 8/21/13 of the current cycle. Go to DATA, RSK1 labeled "Select", and make your choice . . . Joe Lorenc

Ok, I will put the new cycle in the Navdata folder and give it a try. Thanks for the follow up. At one point I removed the file ... and it looked like the 7/31 was still there! SIDs/STARs and all. July 29, 201312 yr Joe L, Thanks a'lot for that information on setting up the FMC database selection. I now have the correct Expire date and SID/STAR available. Edit: So, SID/STARS are also available with the FSX navdata selected! Edit2: And now I recall Fr. Bill saying in a previous post there was a Navdata "choice" with MV737. July 29, 201312 yr well you are boring Here is cool information from flight report on IVAO forum http://forum.ivao.aero/index.php?topic=227200.msg2003983#msg2003983 Fabian Fuchs
July 29, 201312 yr Let me clarify a little about the PMDG comparison, because I think some might be taking it as offensive, when it really wasn't intended that way. As it is, right now, if I want to fly a 737 variant with an FMS, LNAV, VNAV and Flight Change and Thrust mode (future capabilities of Milviz 732) than I've already got one that is very good in all ways. Sure, the comparison is one that is annoying and frequently unfair, because the ngx is said to be the best flight sim plane ever made, but I think the upgraded avionics of the Milviz 732 invite that unwelcome comparison. This is why I'm really only interested in the older style SP-77 version of the airplane...the kind of plane that I probably flew on everywhere when I was a kid. In that vein, limitations like a non-functional pdcs are not fully compensated for by the existence of an fms on a different version. In the oldschool no-fms category of airliners there aren't many heavy-hitters to choose from. Probably the most sophisticated in the bunch right now in the steam-gauge class is the f1/coolsky dc9. So when I buy the 732, I'll no doubt be basing some of my opinions on that comparison, simply because they have similar methods of operation. For example, I'll be weighing things like whether the designers provided basic features such as in-game speed cards (mandatory imo) and other things that are appropriate to the operation of this airplane, and also obvious things like the flight model, sound, ability to assign controls to hardware, etc, that we would care about in any airplane. That's fair, isn't it?
