All very much steam, and you're not stuck at 140kts indicated which is a bit pointless at that altitude unless you have to haul something.

I second any A2A aircraft, they are superb

Perhaps the RealAir Turbine Duke? I dont have it, but everyone seems to like it.

A2A mustang, mil or civy version is just awesome. Also make sure you get the accusim pack too.

Yeah how did I miss the Turbine Duke?! Excellent aircraft!

Carenado Cessna 206 or 210, they're turbocharged so you can get some nice groundspeeds up there :)

Meh still fairly slow... You might get 140 kiasat 150.

Pretty much any turboprop: Cessna 208, Kodiak Quest (payware), Pilatus TurboPorter, DHC-6 Twin Otter, etc. For piston, the Piper Navajo can fly at that altitude (everyone needs an oxygen mask or cannulas) but only the pressurized version is designed for it.

Generally, aircraft.cfg files can be tweaked to perform at that altitude with some experimentation, but then it's obviously not realistic. However, it's kind of fun to cruise the Swiss Alps in a J-3 Cub.

hover lover, but...
round motors rock and taildraggers rule!

It all depends on what you compare it to. The C210 cruises at similar speeds as the Baron... Somewhat faster than the C172...

I suggest you look at the Lionheart Epic LT. Very nice aircraft with great performance. It is a rather unique aircraft and alot of fun.

Carenado Cessna 340. Just an fyi you can fly most planes to atleast 15,000 even if they aren't turbocharged just lean the mixture and have the throttle wide open. It causes no harm to the engine as at those alts your manifold pressure will be in the low 20s or even lower at full throttle. Look into the 340 its turbo charged and pressurised. Ive flown the real thing up at 23,000 though it takes about two weeks to get that high so most of the time I flew around 15-20k but it was nice to have a litttle wiggle room to get above weather.

If You intend to go up just to take a look at the vicinity, Aerosoft's OV-10 Bronco would be a good choice. You sit there very high, which gives You a perfect sight for all directions.

Besides, there a a lot of other planes which was already mentioned.

My personal choice would be the old Beech B-60 Duke by RealAir, the reciprocal one - it has very distinguish flight model and unique feel.
