I donno, if I have to use 4096 do get them to look THAT good then I get OOM's. Its a lose lose situation for me.

Ron,

The following shots on the site are NOT in HD, just an FYI:

1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 28, 32, 37, 39, 41, 44, 46, 48, 53, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68.

We also give you the choice to use what texture sizes and compression. It's a win-win IMO ;)

Thanks Tim

Thanks Tim, I have been with you guys since Day 1! I'll buy the new REX, I just have to take into consideration the OOM stuff these days.

Are the runway textures on screenshots in HD? I bet they are, because they look awesome. ;)

Thank you sir, much appreciated! Remember it's tailored for high and lo-end setups.

Hi Pe11e,

Yes those are for certain. We needed to show the clarity, and it's tough at those small sized screenshots.. I'm enjoying them on my 2560 x 1600 resolution monitor!

I was thinking moments ago, what is the main problem of REX, well for me. I'm using SweetFX, and I love a brighter visuals (more realistic), because default FSX visauls are too dark (I'm talking about clear day lighting). With SweetFX I can adjust the visuals to reflect the clear day sunlight & brightness, and that automatically means that REX clouds and sky textures will be too bright, because that textures are adjusted for default FSX without SweetFX or any post fx mumbo jumbo. With AS2012 I can adjust the brightness of clouds and sky, so I made my texture set for sweetfx preset. With REX I must use photoshop and play with level slider for all clouds and sky textures, which is exhausting.

So, it would be really cool if REX Direct has brightness slider for textures.

So, will this be a free upgrade for those who have purchased REX 2.0+ Overdrive or will we need to buy it separately?

Thanks Tim

Was never a Rex fan, however this product does look quite good indeed. With ASN releasing tomorrow I wonder what the time frame on release of this is.
