I doubt PMDG will release that information. They can maybe say how many compared to the NGX or something like that but good luck with getting actual numbers.

Your don't really expect a privately held company to tell you that, do you? That's right up there with "how old is your wife and do you take Viagra?"... You know, kind of like asking "how much money do you make?". Answer, none of your business would be my response.

Judging by the load on the servers on lanuch day and that they have 20k likes on facebook I guess like 10,000 so far

That is too bad as the MD11 is imo one of the greatest addons, and most fun airplane to fly with interesting systems to learn.

Asking about initial sales in comparison to the NGX isn't really such a bad idea, IMO.

 

I'm interested myself to hear whether the T7 outsold the NGX or not (initially).

 

Anyway my no. of licences is ... one; the rest of the mathematics is up to the OP.

Yeah i'd have to agree with that.  After spending time in the 777, it's an outstanding technical achievement, beautifully realised...but...it's kindda boring, like using the NGX but with cheats enabled.  The MD11 was the more interesting plane, i would hope for some of the older Russian / Soviet tubeliners, but i think i am going to be out of luck.

it can't outsell the NGX yet!  it's not even a month after release.  We have to wait atleast 6months-1year.
