you have to have the flytampa libs activated in the scenery library to see the people. This is new to 1.5

My FPS are worse with the new version as well, even with the animated ships and 3D grass turned off. I wonder if the animated people are causing the performance drop.

I am also considering going back to v1, but I like the up to date version with the old building gone.

It's worth pointing out that even the default FSX St. Maarten is photoscenery,  so if you aren't seeing any, you're flying FS9.   :O

I land the 737 at the new Saba. lol

Yikes. What's with the frames?  Other than that, impressive landing. ^_^

For the folks running the great freeware PWS Vol.5 scenery, its installer disables the default FSX St. Maarten layer, so that's where you might be losing the photo scenery.

As far as I can tell, the FlyTampa TNCM rendition makes use of parts of that default scenery, so it's worth checking out if it's still enabled.

The PWS installer should come with a compatibility option in case you are running the FlyTampa airports. It's just that, if you would later add the payware, you may need some manual steps.

I've installed the upgrade (complete) and everything works fine.

Animated beach goers, AI ships etc and FPS are amazing with sliders near max normal autogen 25% Jet Traf and 10%GA.

Thanks FT - amazing that this is free.

I have to agree, that I'm surprised to see a significant worsening in FPS with the new version :(

NGX with my settings at TNCM v1 = 26 FPS

NGX with my settings at TNCM v1.5 = 21 FPS

.....it may only be 5 FPS, but the drop to 21 FPS is enough to move into 'stuttery' territory for us TrackIR users.   Gonna have a tweak around but failing that, will need to revert to v1 to get the FPS back.

I'm too attatched to the old terminal building to let it go... :(

Will keep the old version for FSX, and have the new one in P3D!

I WISH my frames were that modest a decline.  They were significantly more than that.  Reinstalled the older version, and it's all OK now.

I installed the library...but was it supposed to be activated in the library, or was it automatic install (as I thought).

Stan

Yup. My FPS is dropped to single digit.

So the question is, short of going to the previous version, how can I merge the two versions?

Maybe keep the old TNCM and use the new Saba and St Barths?

Or find out which bgl or feature has added so much cost and just remove that? Hmm...FT is pretty good about FPS, not sure what he did with this one. Hmm...

I too had FPS ISsue. it had dropped to 9 FPS..but thats cause I messed up my install.

Nevermind..My FPS issue is resolved.. I did a mistake

I had installed the original FT TNCM in FSX\Addon folder... Due to SSD, I then had moved it to my HD  and then when I installed this again, it installed it in FSX\addon scenery but my scenery.cfg was referring to my HD E:\ folder where  I had my previou version of TNCM..that cause it to bring my FPS to single digit..now when I referenced the fsx\addon\Flytampa Maarren folder,, I now see the moving people as well as my frames are like the previous.

I also downloaded the library and installed it again

I think I am good

FIxed my performance problems at TNCM. Back to FPS between 40 and 60 in the T7 with the ships and stuff turned on again.

Thanks for the heads up.
