Last time I downloaded PNW demo I ended up buying all NA regions:) I agree with Zoran. Yes, it's free but you'll want more once you taste it. Well done Orbx! This is too good to be free.

Just tried this out in P3D v1.4 (as that's what I'm solely using at the moment) and it is staggeringly beautiful !

Somebody please please help! I have just installed the FTX Iceland demo and after rebooting I have lost the scenery config file and FSX will not load up. What has happened??

If your runnning FSX Gold (FSX Deluxe and Accel) then this might help. Could get you back to running and you could reinstall the DEMO.

I've tried it and as nice as it is, I wasn't 'stunned' nor even 'staggered'. Awesome? Well that's a bit more like it.  :rolleyes: 

Frankly it's no more than I would expect from Orbx.

While I have my 'meh' hat on, they're not really giving you/us anything. Any more than a pusher gives a 'free' snort.

And the developer has better stuff on offer by now.

Thank you cvearl. Sadly this didn't resolve my issue and my horror at the thought of a reinstall is getting worse! The scenery config file is suddenly empty and FS Commander can't find it either. I have posted in the Orbx forum in the hope that someone has an easy solution! I have so many Orbx products installed so I can't fathom why this should happen.

Beating a path to the house to download it now! Iceland is my birthplace and home of 13 years. Christmas just came early folks! I know this sounds like a petty gripe to most, however, The National Lutheran Church of Hallgrymskirkja is a towering landmark in Reykjavik and visible from almost every point in the city. I don't see it in any of the screenshots of Reykjavik. I realize that this offering probably doesn't come with POI buildings but it would be a great touch to add this one. Regards and thanks ORBX!

are you running FTX Global? if you are go to the Orbx help page and remember to add your FTX Global order number!

Thank you DoubleJ but no I am not. I have nearly all their regions but not FTX Global.

Not sure if it is meant to be run without Global, Jon. :unsure: Wait, two separate versions.

If you have NOT yet purchased FTX Global (even if you have other Orbx FTX Regions i.e. PNW, ENG, AU) you should install the OFF Version available from here: http://www.orbxsyste...mo-off-version/

So that's what you've installed or did you accidentally pick the other one? If so, I think it relies on pre-installed Orbx items from Global which might explain at least a bit of mixup. Well, find your current and maybe backup scenery.cfg at C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX.

 

But also take a look into the Orbx forums since you might damage something with a rushed repair attempt. They offer support for their free goodies too, so perhaps take the time to write them.
