I'll try that this weekend.

I found the easiest thing to do is load directly to the start menu. Then select your aircraft, airport, etc, and fly. P3D2 doesn't need to load a default aircraft like fsx does.

This is not working..I can't seem to change the default. 

 

 

Hmmmm

When you save your flight, and give it a file name, you have to click on the icon (circle with aircraft) in front of your new file name to make it your default flight.

You can also select the flight and click on the big icon to the left of the picture you see: it does the same. And is harder to miss. 

My apologies if this is "old" information, but if you migrate to your Lockheed Martin folder from the Start menu, open the Training Center and there is a whole section of suggested tweaks for the P3D.cfg file published by LM. Affinity Mask=14 is one of the suggested tweaks.

When setting aero on in win 7 I can hear p3d but there is no image, going fullscreen or windowed does nothing, win 7 disables aero automatically after a few minutes. Any ideas?

There is an option on one of the GUI menus to enable this feature.

I make the jump today to p3d.. so far so good.

 

Alas for the the affinitymask=14  tweak which .fxc cfg do i change as I have 2 configs in 2 separate directory's that P3D has created (ive not installed fsx)  its a clean windows install..

are you using the migrator tool? in that case, always make the changes in the P3D file and it will replicate itself automatically into the fsx one.

yes I have the migration tool.thanks for the tip.

 

Im also having problems with my logitech wingman 3 throttle and trying to work out how to make p3d start at a menu and not on a runway.
