I don't mind, however I DO mind the death threat I received via email stating that the person wanted my family to die in a horrible fire. THAT is outrageous and NOT ok.

Im pretty sure you can report that to the police.

Wow, just wow. When I hear things like that it just makes me wonder what the h e double l is going through people minds when they would have the gall to send you an email saying something like that, especially over something related to an addon for a computer flight sim. I remember a few years back Jay Kae over on the ORBX forum received similar threats to his family and decided to exit the hobby for a while.I guess things calmed down and he's been back for sometime now, but its really too bad that someone that's in this hobby would send such a message.

I went to the forum, was not locked out, but could not yet figure out where to establish proof of purchase

Ive since installed it in Win8 and am feeding the files into FSX/P3Dv2 from there. Requires a reboot but they are fast these days.

Folks here are trying to help you, why don't you take their advice and get this resolved, follow what was posted above and I'm sure things will get worked out!
