July 1, 201411 yr No. There will be no lights. The new PMDG 777-300ER will look like this when it is dark (See screenshot) Trent Hopkinson, 2015 Crewmember of www.mangrove.com.au WorldFlight sim Youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/musicalaviator

July 5, 201411 yr The 777 uses more vas than any other payware plane I own and I constantly have to worry about OOM issues, which impacts the amount of time I spend flying it. The issue is usually triggered by flying from and two a payware airport. Same for me. Say from FSDT KJFK>KLAS, in the PMDG 777, there is a good chance I will get an OOM error during the flight. VERY frustrating after all the time I invest into flight planning. Not PMDG's fault, FSX is a broken, unfinish platform.

Since I started running with DX10 about 9 months ago I have not had any OOMs during a flight. I come close at JFK (FSDTv2) but have yet to have one flying to complex airports in the 777/737/Dash8. - Jordan Jafferjee - AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D | Asus X670-E Pro Prime | Gigabyte RTX4080 Eagle | 64G G.Skill Trident Z.5 DDR5-6000 | Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 | 2x2TB Samsung 990 Pro NVME | NZXT H7 | Win 11 24H2 | TM Warthog Flight Stick + Throttle | Honeycomb Alpha + Bravo | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | Samsung 43" Odyssey Neo G7 | Dell U3415W

I second that DX10 had really made a difference, OOMs are few and far between had one today but that was at EGLL and was kinda expected. The lighting is better, the water, and smoothness at all airports with the PMDG777,just how it should be. July 5, 201411 yr I have too many addon airports that the developers say is not DX10 compatible. And I fly the freighter so it is often at night, where those airports would look bad in DX10 at night. Too bad. If the service pack doesn't lower vas a little to help stop OOM errors, I may go back to a default FSX just so the 777X does not crash.
July 7, 201411 yr Hmm, another OOM in DX9, FSDT KLAS to stock KLAX, OOM error at the LA outer marker. NEVER happens with my VRS TP Hornet. Only the heavies. Hopefully PMDG can reduce the VAS usage, but of course I know there's no free lunch. *sigh*

Check in at the DX10 forum, with all of the available resources I am sure someone will be able to help you. I am running the Steve DX10 Fixer (no longer for sale unfortunately) and have no issues with Night Textures or lighting in DX10. - Jordan Jafferjee - AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D | Asus X670-E Pro Prime | Gigabyte RTX4080 Eagle | 64G G.Skill Trident Z.5 DDR5-6000 | Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 | 2x2TB Samsung 990 Pro NVME | NZXT H7 | Win 11 24H2 | TM Warthog Flight Stick + Throttle | Honeycomb Alpha + Bravo | MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals | Samsung 43" Odyssey Neo G7 | Dell U3415W
