January 10, 201412 yr I asked about the dividing line between North and South California quite some time ago. Holger answered on the Orbx forums with a specific line location. I was asking if the Pebble Beach area would be included in the Northern CA release. A search should reveal the answer for you. Great information - thanks, Ray! January 10, 201412 yr Ray, she IS in the works and we hope to have bit of early show n' tell in the not too distant future.. B) We may even look at releasing the XLX for FS9 if demand is high enough. Finally we are considering possible P3D projects in 2014 as well. B) You have my demand X 10000. I hope that helps the tally a bit. If you live in Redding, Southern California starts at Napa (all those tree huggers and bunny lovers). If you live in the Bay Area, particularly Silicon Valley, SoCal starts at San Luis Obispo (AKA SLO). If you live in Los Angeles, Northern California is anywhere you can steal water from!!! I am hoping for the middle ground, which *may* mean they do Lake Tahoe and Yosemite proud! I expect to have a new base of operations versus my standard KTTD! Ha,ha, I typically have to explain to folks that Fresno is the Center of the State. Keith Keith Guillory

Looking forward to seeing some of the 'Show and Tell' features. I gathered a lot of info on the XLS while researching the other available FSX Citations for the Avsim review. I still have it and can put it to good use once we can start flying the ESDG FSX Citation Excel XLS+ Extreme ver 2.0 (whew) Here is what I said in the review about the ESDG XLS . . . . "Evidently an Citation XLS version is still in work, but in the slow lane. I sure hope ESDG opts for the XLS+ if they get serious about bringing it to market. The XLS+ is a nice blend of the CJ1+ and the X specs and features and could be a perfect add-on from the ESDG shop. Everyone should want one of these in their hangar. Great Specs." January 10, 201412 yr Our thanks Ray for what we consider the most complete review of Cessna's corporate jet line for FS. You may want to brush up on the Citation XLS with PRIMUS 1000 CDS... B) Thanks Ron, That was a most enjoyable review, although it took almost a year of research and flying. It was also well received by the Flight1 folks. I have an 80-page pdf with lots of details of the Primus 1000 installation in the XLS. I just moved it over to my iPad for some nighttime reading. Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
January 10, 201412 yr For all you flight simmers that keep asking for a new corporate jet for FSX, this ought to get the juices flowing. eh Ryan? I do hope that ESDG selects Navigragh for the Nav updates, after all this is the "What's to Come in 2014" thread. B)Regards,Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

January 10, 201412 yr I really like what I'm reading. A new Eaglesoft business jet sounds like a winner to me. Thanks for your interest gentlemen. This one won't be cheap as we are licensed by Cessna. Ray, just for the record we are doing the XLS which is the successor to the Excel. XLS contains the unique Primus 1000 Control Display System which differs from the XLS+ Avionics package. For those interested it will use the Navigraph DB designated for Eaglesoft in the same way as the Citation X and Citation CJ1+. Just used their new FMS Data Manager this AM to update and it is sweet. January 11, 201412 yr OK Thanks Ron for the clarification of the specific model in work for FSX. I will post new photos of the XLS soon. The Citation Excel family consists of the Excel, sometimes referred to as the XL, the first upgrade referred to as the XLS and the latest edition of the family the XLS+. The Excel and XLS are very close in specs and performance with the later model XLS having a very small edge on the older Excel. Mostly due to the slightly modified engines the XLS will see about a 2% increase in thrust at cruise altitudes and has a 200 pound increase in Gross Weight and holds 100 pounds more fuel than the Excel. Both Excel and XLS has the Honeywell Primus 1000 system, however, the Excel has CRTs and the XLS has the lighter, brighter and slightly larger LCD panels contributing to some weight savings. Here is the exact text: The Honeywell Primus 1000 avionics suite is essentially unchanged from the Excel, with the exception of the displays. The XLS has three 200 x 255mm (8 x 10in) liquid-crystal displays that provide more useable area than the Excel's smaller cathode-ray tubes. Each pilot has a primary flight display (PFD) and shares a center-mounted multifunction display (MFD). The two forward-panel engine displays and two radio-tuning units are now active-matrix LCDs, providing enhanced legibility and reliability over the previous CRTs. Several smaller changes such as moving some switches and clocks around and various improvements will be seen in the XLS as compared to the XL. Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
