Gotta love those flight deck grabs ;)

Very nice!

Is the q400 difficult to fly? (if you know to fly CS 757 / 767 / 777 or MD11)

Florian

Great shots, stunning cloudscapes. The Q400 is a beautiful aircraft to cloud hop in :)

With props set to 1020, you need to have the bleeds on MIN, though...

The Majestic Q400 is not difficult to handle, but you must read the manual and understand the systems a little in order to operate it realistically. You have to stay ahead of the aircraft at all times and you need regular adjustment to the rudder trim as you change the power settings.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the bleeds info. I haven`t studied the manuals yet (and probably never will  ). But yes, as you said, the a/c is not too dificult to handle, but the constant pilot input is needed.

Cheers.

In fact, when in climb, you're supposed to leave the bleeds like you did but reduce the condition levers one notch, and then one notch further in cruise. You set them back to full before landing. In that respect, it's way easier than the J41, which requires very precise CL adjustments to avoid an engine meltdown.
